Total Truck Transport - Blizzard of 2016
Status Update!!!
We are anticipating to be back at 100% strength tomorrow (Wednesday) as we continue to recover from the weekend blizzard. Most areas received anywhere from 2 to 2 1/2 feet of snow. The vast majority of our drivers were still snowed into their homes as of this morning since the plows had not addressed the residential streets.
As of this evening we have received reports from about 95% of our drivers that they are dug out and that their trucks are clear.
We will of course continue to experience heavier than normal volume as we work to take care of the backlog of commercial deliveries and reschedule the residential deliveries. Customers need to be aware that we must insist on a clear clean path to the residential doorstep in order to ensure a safe, undamaged delivery. Expect some residential deliveries to be later than anticipated since the cleanup from this snow still has a long way to go. Most neighborhoods have no place to PUT all the accumulated snow, and until there is some substantial melting or they have front end loaders come in to physically pile the snow, expect delays in residential delivery appointments.

The day to day operations at Total Truck can get pretty routine after a while, what with trade show displays, computers, wide screen TVs, etc, so it's kind of fun when a piece of freight comes through that makes heads turn. This is one you definitely don't see every day!!!
