94-Year-Old lowa Truck Driver Aims to Claim Guinness World Record for Oldest Trucker

At 94 years old, lowa truck driver Orrin Asmus is officially seeking the title of the world's oldest active truck driver from Guinness World Records.

Asmus first climbed behind the wheel of a semi at age 19 to haul livestock to Chicago and has spent decades navigating the open road, witnessing the evolution of trucking from pre-interstate routes to modern freight.

Currently driving part-time for Mediapolis-based McLaughlin Freight, Asmus surpassed the age of current titleholder Doyle Archer, with his carrier submitting the official record application earlier this year.
