Yesterday, we welcomed the Trucking Delivers for Iowa Tour to Tucker Freight Lines!

It was a great opportunity to share a little more about what goes on across our departments and introduce visitors to some of the people who keep things moving every day.

Tomorrow, we're welcoming the community to Tucker Freight Lines in Dubuque as part of the Trucking Delivers for Iowa Tour!

From the people behind the wheel to the teams working behind the scenes, it takes a lot of different roles to keep freight moving. This is a chance to meet some of those people and learn more about an industry that's part of our everyday lives.

We'll be here from 11 AM to 2 PM, and the event is open to everyone!

Tucker Freight Lines has once again been named one of the Top Companies for Women to Work in Trucking by the Women In Trucking Association!

From the driver's seat to dispatch, safety, operations and leadership, women are part of nearly every corner of Tucker.

We're proud to receive this recognition, but even more proud of the women who make their mark on our company every day.

Today the list of the 2026 “Top Companies for Women to Work in Trucking” has been released by Redefining the Road magazine, the official magazine of WIT.

Leadership doesn't mean you're done learning!

Yesterday, some of Tucker's executive team wrapped up a year-long leadership development program with their final presentations and graduation.

From setting goals for their teams to identifying areas for personal growth, it was great to see the thought they're putting into how they lead and where they want to take their teams next.

Next Thursday, October 15th, you'll have the chance to meet employees from across our departments and get a firsthand look at the many roles and career opportunities within the trucking industry.

Come learn about our industry! Stop by from 11AM to 2PM. The event is open to the public!

The Trucking Delivers for Iowa Tour is coming October 12–15, and it’s open to the general public! Each stop is open house style, so stop by anytime during the hours listed.

Explore truck displays, discover trucking careers, and enjoy food and refreshments. The IMTA Show Trailer and Driving Simulator will be in Ankeny, Le Mars, Fort Dodge, and Cedar Rapids. Truck rides will be available in Ankeny, Fort Dodge, and Cedar Rapids!

Fall brings changing conditions to the road, sometimes within the same trip.

Shorter days mean more time driving in the dark, while low sun at sunrise and sunset can make traffic lights, vehicles, and pedestrians harder to see. Morning fog and frost on bridges can create additional challenges as temperatures continue to drop.

Checking lights, keeping windshields and mirrors clean, adjusting speed for conditions, and allowing extra following distance can help when visibility and road conditions change.

After a recent motorcycle accident left him without a bike, the maintenance crew wanted to make sure he wasn't without a set of wheels for too long!

Last week was Rail Safety Week, but railroad crossing safety requires attention every day.

For commercial vehicles, every crossing can present different challenges. Posted signs, ground clearance, trailer type, and even the weight of a load can affect whether a vehicle can safely cross.

Before entering the tracks, make sure there is enough room on the other side for the entire vehicle and trailer to clear. If traffic ahead could leave you stopped on the tracks, wait.

Whether it's your first time on a route or your hundredth, every crossing deserves the same care.

We had a lot to celebrate at last night's IMTA Awards Gala!

A huge congratulations to Tim Mason, who was named the 2026 IMTA Maintenance Technician of the Year!

Tim is known in our shop for his mechanical skill, especially when it comes to troubleshooting electrical issues. He's thorough, efficient and doesn't cut corners, even when the pressure is on. When someone else is stuck on a problem, Tim is also quick to share what he knows and help figure it out.

For Tim, the most important part of his job has always been the safety of our drivers, the public and his coworkers. We're incredibly proud to see the skill and pride he brings to his work recognized by the IMTA.

We also want to congratulate Charlie Tucker on completing the IMTA Leadership Class and recognize our other award nominees:
