We have received numerous reports of scam calls from individuals claiming to be a Sheriff’s Deputy. The caller may state that you have a warrant for your arrest and demand immediate payment over the phone to avoid being taken into custody.

Please remember:
• Law enforcement will NEVER demand payment over the phone.
• We will NEVER ask for payment through gift cards, Cash App, Venmo, cryptocurrency, or wire transfers.
• Scammers often use fear and urgency to pressure victims into acting quickly.

If you receive one of these calls:
• Hang up immediately.
• Do not provide personal or financial information.
• Do not send money.
• Contact your local law enforcement agency or County Court Clerk to verify any claims.

Please share this post to help warn others in the community and prevent someone from becoming a victim of fraud.

With stormy season upon us we are updating our records for storm shelters. If you haven't filled out paperwork for the town or county about the location of your storm shelter or where you would you shelter in your home if you need to please come to town hall and fill it out. You can also call and we'll fill it out for you. This helps emergency crews locate you if there is need for it. 405-828-4212 is the number for Town Hall.

Please drip your faucets through this cold. If you have several faucets drip them all especially in a mobile home. The water meters can freeze and bust. Dripping faucets will help prevent this.
