Today’s JTL load of the day picked up at Beasley in Hazlehurst and delivered near the port in Savannah. The Beasley lanes have been very good lately.

Here is Jean's Team's load of the day. Owner-operator George L Graham grabbed a load of lumber from West Fraser-Augusta on Thursday for a Friday delivery. JTL has, for the most part, moved nearly exclusively into the flatbed market and it's very busy right now. The move from primarily van freight to flatbed freight has been good for us.

Last night at the annual football banquet, the Touchdown Club presented Jean’s Team Logistics with the Business of the Year Award. We were pleased to be able to assist the program by transporting Trojan water from Premium Waters to the high school for the football program’s various fund-raisers throughout the year. It was our honor to play a small role in the team’s success.

The Jean's Team Logistics family is saddened to learn of the passing Jean Vickers this morning after a long battle with cancer. Under Jean's leadership, JTL became a successful trucking company against all odds. Two years ago, Jean had to sell the company and step away because of the cancer that had ravaged her body. Since then, we have done our best to continue the legacy she began. Jean was a kind soul with a gentle spirit. We know she is rejoicing today in Heaven with her friends and family who have gone on before her. We offer our prayers to Mike, her children, grandchildren, and surviving friends who are mourning her loss. Jean will be missed but never forgotten.

That’s the Danny Dawson Band playing on a Jean’s Team flatbed at Jardine Stadium for the July 4 celebration yesterday. We were pleased to play a small role in helping our community celebrate our freedom.

Looking for a new opportunity in 2019? Jean's Team is looking for three drivers. Run primarily the Southeast, dry van and flatbed freight, home on the weekends and most of the time, a day or two during the week. Our drivers bring home between $1,000 to $1,200 per week, with opportunities to bring home more. Qualifications: at least 23 years old, two years or more OTR experience, clean MVR, must be able to pass a drug test. Jean's Team Logistics is looking for an owner-operator, preferably a one-truck owner-operator who drives their own pre-ELD truck. An ELD truck isn't a deal-breaker but those of you in the business know the constraints the computers put on a fleet. It's not really a deal-breaker if you're a truck owner who has a driver but we prefer, when possible, to have a truck owner who also drives. It just makes things easier. We do a 75-25 split, no forced dispatch, plenty of freight (flatbed and van), and good time at home. We primarily stay in the Southeast but we do venture a little farther west from time to time. All of our owner-operators are very profitable and stay busy. PM me for the specifics.
