We are looking for an experienced tractor and trailer mechanic that is available part time. This person will interact with truck drivers, perform repairs and maintain equipment on site at our shop. We supply the shop tools and company uniform for this position.

Preferred skills

· Strong mechanic knowledge including scan tools

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Team player

· Effectively communicate on technical level with management

· Flexible, adaptable, and able to adjust quickly when priorities change

· Some computer skills

· CDL is a plus

We are growing and looking to add dependable and organized Class A truck drivers to our team. We are in need of drivers who can consistently ensure safe and accurate deliveries. Must be detail-oriented, efficient and have a clean driving record.

Currently hiring Full Time Positions. Mostly local work, home daily.

Position includes transporting material on flatbed/ double drop and having current HazMat Endorsement (or willingness to obtain endorsement)

Health insurance, 401(k), PTO, Paid Holidays included for Full Time positions

Responsibilities Include:
- Communicate with dispatch as needed
- Obtain proper signatures and confirm contents of each load matches shipping documents
- Perform inspections of your vehicle & trailer prior to and following each trip
- Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered.
- Use of ELD and maintain detailed driving logs
- Adhere to company rules and regulations
- Make safety a priority at all times

Requirements and Qualifications:
- Valid Class A driver’s license required
- Experience on load secondment
- 2+ years proven experience with tractor-trailer driving preferred
- Clean driving record
- Must pass a background check and drug test
- Comfortable maneuvering and parking a tractor-trailer
- Alert, focused, and detail-oriented
- Proficient using GPS and other routing systems as well as ELD
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)

- Perform repairs and maintenance on fleet of tractors and trailers
- Manage and maintain electronic service logs
- Order, track and occasionally pick up parts as needed
- Verify off-site unit repairs are fixed
- Maintain shop inventory
- Keep shop clean and organized
