Dorchester Shipyard, located in Dorchester, NJ on the Maurice River, has been serving the local fleets for well over 100 years. From wooden oyster boats and schooners to modern day steel commercial fishing vessels, tow boats and barges, Dorchester Shipyard continues to be there when you need us. Vessels to 500 tons are hauled on our railway and on our new Dry Dock. Hauling, steel work and repair;

Busy shipyard offering full time- year round employment to seasoned- organized - individual who:

Has a valid NJ DL
Can take and follow direction
has:
Knowledge of small equipment repair and maintenance
Knowledge of vehicle maintenance
Knowledge of simple building maintenance and repair

General Labor tasks to include but not limited to:

Yard maintenance and clean up
Vehicle and equipment maintenance
Climbing ladders
Heavy Lifting
Ability to handle small hand tools safely
Operate some heavy machinery
Ability to work in extreme temperature environments
