Well I made it to Tampa Sunday to start recovering boats but then had to evacuate because of this Milton storm. The TowboatUS Tampa guys got me set up with a VRBO in Mariana Florida which is 5ish hours North so I feel pretty safe now.
I could feel the panic tension raising yesterday as I left around noon from Tampa, gas stations were running out of gas and before long the way weather people are talking our state of Florida will be in trouble. Please keep these folks in your prayers...

For $109 a year YOU and EVERYONE in your household and ALL your watercraft are covered effective at midnight the day of purchase until the end of purchase month 2025.
This gives you FREE 24/7 on the water Towing, Jumpstart, Fuel drops and Soft ungroundings.
We will still go after non-members as well but it's much cheaper to get that membership.
Wouldn't it be nice not to have to rely on others to stop what they are doing to come find you plus if you have friends like I do you may not want them to know you ran out of gas because they won't ever let you live it down.

Wouldn't it be nice to not have to worry about finding someone to come help you or hoping you can flag people down? For about the price of a quarter tank of gas you have a dedicated group of properly equipped local folks that know what they are doing.

OK Friends and lake people I am putting together a benefit poker run on Saturday August 24th. It's going to be for Jason and Terrie Thomas whose house burned down about a month or so ago. Jason has grown up on this lake working on the gas docks since he was 14 then as a mechanic for years. He has been a huge part of TowboatUS for 6 years as well as he has helped no telling how many people out there as well.
Jason is the kind of guy that even if he doesn't have much money in his pocket he has enough to tip the kids at the gas dock whenever he gets gas which speaks volumes to me.
Him and his wife Terrie have fostered kids though the years and they recently adopted 3 kids all under age of 8 so they are the big hearted kind of folks and now they need a hand.
The poker run will be $30 a hand and we will keep you all updated on that but I have set up an account at American bank in Disney for Jason. If you can donate money ask them about the "care of Jason Thomas account". 100% of whatever monies are raised will go toward the Thomas family home. Thank you people and let's see how much love we can show one of our own right here local home grown Grand Lakes. If you have any questions call me at 918 782-8600.

Happy 4th of July Lake people this is the weekend we all been thinking of since last winter. Be careful out there never assume the other boat saw you and just let them have it instead of trying to take it. Be proud to be an American and raise our children that way and make sure we all understand how lucky we are God let us be born in the land of the free and home of the brave.
