LABOR DAY | A Little More Time to Savor šŸ·

Labor Day gives us something we rarely give ourselves enough of.

Time.

Time for a slower morning.

Time for lunch, lingering a little longer.

Time to open a bottle you’ve been saving, gather around the table, and enjoy the people sitting across from you.

As summer begins its gentle turn toward fall, today feels like the perfect invitation to savor what remains of the season.

Pour something beautiful. Set the table outside. Take the long way home. Watch the sunset without checking the time.

Rest isn’t something we have to earn.

Sometimes, it’s simply something we need to remember to make room for.

Here’s to a Labor Day filled with good food, beautiful wine, meaningful conversation, and a little more time to simply sip, savor, and be. šŸ„‚

The long weekend doesn’t have to be filled with plans to feel special.

Before Labor Day arrives, give yourself a little retreat at home on Sunday.

Sleep a little longer. Linger over your coffee. Read the book you keep meaning to pick up. Take a walk without tracking the miles. Make something delicious. Pour a favorite glass of wine later in the day.

Most of all, resist the urge to make every free moment productive.

Sometimes creating a special day for yourself simply means giving yourself permission to enjoy it.

Make Sunday yours. šŸ¤

That’s a little Sip & Soul you can create anywhere.

ONE WEEK TO GO! šŸ·āœØ

The countdown is officially on.

In just one week, our Sip & Soul guests will arrive in Oregon wine country for our Willamette Valley Retreat—and we can hardly wait to welcome them.

We’re looking forward to sharing the beauty of the valley: rolling vineyards, beautiful wines, incredible food, restorative wellness experiences, and those golden September moments that invite you to simply slow down and take it all in.

But more than anything, we’re excited for the moments we can’t plan—the laughter, conversations, new friendships, and little discoveries that become favorite memories.

Everything has been thoughtfully prepared. Now there’s just one thing left to do...

As we savor these last golden days of August, imagine a breezy afternoon in wine country, the vineyards still lush and the air fragrant as harvest time grows near.

For this Sip & Soul Friday, let’s raise a glass of Vermentino to the moments between, where summer’s warmth meets the first whispers of crush season. Maybe it’s an impromptu picnic, a barefoot walk through the vines, or a sunset toast on a hillside.

However you celebrate, let’s embrace this in-between, where the season’s final sunshine meets the promise of harvest to come.

Cheers to the magic of now!

Before the Pinot Noir reaches your glass, there is this. šŸ‡

Late-summer mornings in the Willamette Valley.

Clusters changing color.

Vineyard teams tending the vines.

Fruit slowly developing the balance and character that will eventually follow it into the cellar.

This is veraison, one of the vineyard’s most beautiful transitions.

This year, we get to follow the story a little more closely.

Sip & Soul will be in the Willamette Valley September 13–16, as wine country moves toward harvest.

If you pour an Oregon Pinot Noir this week, linger over it for an extra moment.

Notice the color. Swirl the glass. Breathe in the aroma.

Imagine the vineyard where another vintage is quietly taking shape.

Soon, we’ll be there. šŸ·āœØ

WELLNESS WEDNESDAY 🌿 | Let It Ripen

There’s a reason the vineyard can’t be rushed.

During veraison, grapes need time to soften, deepen in color, develop flavor, and move toward the balance that will eventually become a beautiful wine.

No amount of wishing makes them ripen faster.

There’s wisdom in that.

We live in a world that celebrates speed. Faster results. Faster answers. Faster progress.

Some of the best things in life ask something different of us.

Patience. Presence. Trust.

Maybe there’s something in your life that doesn’t need to be pushed today.

A decision.

A dream.

A new chapter.

Even your own sense of what comes next.

Give it a little room.

Pour something lovely. Step outside. Watch the sunset.

Let it ripen. šŸ‡šŸ·

This month we introduced Pinot Gris. Here’s something you may not know... šŸ‡šŸ„‚

Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir are much more closely connected than their wines might suggest.

Pinot Gris is actually a color mutation of Pinot Noir. While Pinot Noir develops dark purple skins, Pinot Gris grapes can range from grayish blue to soft pink and copper tones.

In the glass, their personalities are beautifully different.

Pinot Noir is known for red fruit, earthy notes, gentle tannins, and a silky texture. Pinot Gris is typically made as a white wine, offering bright acidity with flavors that can lean toward pear, apple, citrus, and stone fruit.

Both varieties have found a beautiful home in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, where the cool climate helps preserve freshness and acidity as the grapes ripen.

We’ll be experiencing the Willamette Valley ourselves this September, which makes Pinot Gris an especially fitting choice for our Wine of the Month.

✨ One family. Two very different expressions. Another beautiful example of just how fascinating wine can be.

🌿 Retreat at Home Sunday

Sometimes the most restorative getaway is only a few minutes from home.

Find a shady tree in your favorite local park. Pack a soft blanket, a sparkling water infused with fresh strawberries, cucumber, mint, and citrus, and lose yourself in a captivating story.

This Sunday, we're bringing along Just One Look by Lindsay Cameron, a page-turner that's perfect for an unhurried afternoon outdoors.

Let the breeze turn the pages. Listen to the birds instead of your notifications. Sip something refreshing. Stay a little longer than you planned.

Luxury isn't always about traveling farther.

Sometimes it's simply giving yourself permission to take a moment.

✨ Here's to creating your own little retreat right where you are.

Sir Sip a Lot is counting down to Oregon. šŸ·šŸ‡

He’s been keeping a very close eye on veraison in the Willamette Valley and has informed us that everything appears to be progressing beautifully.

His credentials?
- Enthusiasm.
- A discerning palate.
- An impressive ability to supervise vineyard activity while holding a glass of Pinot Noir. šŸ˜‰

We’ll be heading to the Willamette Valley September 13–16, just as wine country moves toward one of its most exciting times of year.

Sir Sip is already planning his wardrobe. Naturally.

Willamette Valley, we’ll see you soon. šŸ·āœØ

šŸ· Sip & Savor

Fresh flavors, beautiful wine, and a table shared with those you love.

This month, we're pairing our August Wine of the Month—Vermentino with Pan-Seared Halibut & Citrus Fennel Salad, a light and elegant dish that celebrates the bright flavors of summer.

The crisp citrus and delicate minerality of Vermentino beautifully complement the flaky halibut and vibrant salad, creating a meal that's simple enough for a weeknight yet special enough for entertaining.

✨ Here's to savoring the last golden days of summer one delicious bite and one beautiful sip at a time.
