Looks like our lake is back to a healthy status!!!! Yippee, I was out on the lake on Sunday and noticed it had cleared up quite a bit and also that the water levels dropped really low and the high again every night last week and I think it helped a lot.

Today we rented to a group honoring the passing of a friend with a sunset paddle. The beauty in life is never forgotten when we are doing what we love. ❤️

I really had hoped that the state parks would care enough to post this at the parks... But they did not. All of our reservations have been moved to Fall Creek Reservoir, if you want to paddle or play that's where the clean water is.

And wear the life jacket!!! Your board doesn't need it on, it floats just fine. People on the other hand..... Don't float so well. Stay safe people!

Stand up paddleboarding is becoming more and more popular in Oregon! Not only is it fantastic exercise, but it's a great way to connect with water.

Speaking of "connection," we'd also like to highlight the importance of using the appropriate leash for the type of waterway SUP'ers are exploring. The Marine Board advocates wearing a quick-release leash on any moving water (primarily rivers) with obstructions. This type of leash attaches to either a belt pack, harness or life jacket. If the SUP'er is unable to navigate away from a strainer (tree root wad) or other obstruction, they can release themselves from the board and not get pinned.
