We're hiring for a MARINE MECHANIC!

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Busy marina on the Detroit River looking for hard working Marine Technician to perform general physical activities that require lifting heavy objects, use of your whole body, climbing, lifting, balancing and handling of materials.

Strong communication skills and problem solving skills a must!

• Troubleshoot and inspect motors to locate defective parts, using mechanic's hand tools and gauges
• Operate boats at various speeds on waterways to conduct operational tests
• Clear understanding of marine engines
• Adjust carburetor mixtures, electrical point settings, or timing while motors are running in water-filled test tanks
• Repair engine mechanical equipment, such as power tilts, bilge pumps, or power take-offs
• Service marine driveline
• Good working knowledge of all ship systems
• Computer skills & use of diagnostic equipment
• Start motors and monitor performance for signs of malfunctioning, such as smoke, excessive vibration, or misfiring

We're hiring a MARINE MECHANIC!

JOB DESCRIPTION–

JOB DESCRIPTION -

Busy marina in Detroit is looking for a motivated Marine Detailer.Responsibilities vary daily and include helping with hauling and launching boats, buffing and waxing, bottom painting, shrink wrap, general building and yard maintenance and more.

This job is great for someone who likes doing a variety of tasks.

- Applicant must be able to lift 50 lbs and work outside in all weather conditions.
- Experience and basic knowledge of boats and boat systems is a plus but we are willing to train the right person.
- This is a full time position with benefits available and room to advance within the company.

- Maintain a boats body and perform maintenance tasks like painting, fiberglass repair and rigging installation.
- Install and test sanitation and refrigeration systems, cabinetry, electrical systems, steering gear and accessories.
- Repair engine equipment such as power tilts, bilge pumps, or power take offs.
- Service marine driveline.
- Diagnose and repair signs of engine malfunctions such as smoke, excessive vibration, or misfiring.
- Operate boat at various speeds on waterways to conduct operational tests.
- Good working knowledge of all ship systems.
- Computer skills and use of diagnostic equipment.

Requirements:
– High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prefer formal training in marine technology or experience in small engine repair.
- Extensive knowledge of the mechanical and electrical ins and outs of various marine vessels.
