The People Mover has carried riders around downtown Detroit since 1987, and seeing highlights from nearly four decades of transit is pretty special. ✨

Station upgrades and train wraps (not to mention fashions) have given each era its own look, so longtime riders may remember a few details that no longer look the same.

Of course, the fundamentals of what we do are something we hope will never change!

Which era of riding the People Mover do you remember best?

If you rode the People Mover years ago, this tune might sound familiar. 🎶🚄

The original jingle gave the full downtown route a soundtrack that many riders still remember.

Tell us in the comments which People Mover memory this song brings back.

Cadillac Center Station makes it easy to plan a full downtown day and see it all. 🚄

Nearby businesses and public spaces offer riders plenty to explore within walking distance of the station, and there’s even art to look at inside the station itself, on loan from the DIA.

Follow Melia Howard through Cadillac Center, then use the stop to plan your own outing.

This concert-night horror list needs just one more addition: Missing out on Ed Sheeran at Ford Field tonight might be the scariest idea yet! 😱🎶

If you’re lucky enough to have tickets, make the night even better by taking the People Mover there and back. Broadway Station is the closest stop to the venue, so you can park with ease and ride in style.

The People Mover is FREE, and runs until 1 AM, so you’re welcome to stay until the final song (be sure to sing along).

Are you heading to the concert?
