The 132d Wing hosted federal, state and local officials, along with private sector leaders, to Des Moines for a legislative outreach event focused on the future of aviation, defense and cyber operations.

Maj. Gen. Stephen Osborn, Adjutant General of Iowa, joined military leaders to highlight how Iowa’s Airmen are adapting to a rapidly changing operational environment and preparing for future missions.

Attendees also received a firsthand look at the 132d Wing’s cyber operations and capabilities and how they support current and future missions.

As technology, threats and missions continue to evolve, the Iowa National Guard remains focused on readiness, innovation and building strong partnerships across the state and beyond.

✈️ National Aviation Day! 🚁

In honor of National Aviation Day, we wanted to show off a few of the aircrafts that help the Iowa National Guard accomplish its mission across Iowa and beyond!

From Black Hawks and Chinooks to the MQ-9 Reaper, each aircraft brings a unique capability to the fight.

The Iowa Governor’s Traffic Safety Bureau and Doll Distributing are offering an Uber voucher for rides to and from the Iowa State Fair.

🚗 Limited to 1,000 redemptions

COMBAT INSPECTION ✅

Airmen from the 132d Wing, Iowa Air National Guard, were pushed to their limits during five days of around-the-clock operations designed to test the wing’s ability to deploy, operate and sustain the mission in a contested environment.

From responding to simulated threats to maintaining combat operations under pressure, our Airmen proved they are ready to fight, ready to respond, and ready to win.

🚨 Community Notice 🚨

The 132d Wing will conduct a scheduled readiness exercise at the Des Moines Air National Guard Base, July 29 - Aug 2.

During the exercise, the surrounding community may notice increased activity on and around the installation, including emergency vehicles, law enforcement personnel, simulated protests, alarms, loudspeaker announcements, and sounds associated with training. These activities are part of a planned exercise and do not indicate an actual emergency.

We appreciate the community’s understanding and support as we conduct this important training.
