I’ve had several new travel requests come in over the last few days, and most have been referrals. It’s something I’m always grateful for and never take for granted.

When you recommend us to your friends, family, or coworkers, you’re putting your trust in us to take good care of someone you know. To me, that’s the greatest compliment you can give.

Referrals truly are the lifeblood of a small business. We put a lot of time, care, and effort into what we do, and having someone say, “Call Annette” or “Reach out to Global Wanders Unlimited” means more than you may realize.

To everyone who continues to send people our way, thank you. Your support helps us grow, and I appreciate the opportunity to help the people you care about make some wonderful travel memories.

Good morning and Happy Tuesday!

Today kicks off a 10-day stretch that’s going to be a busy one, even by my standards!

This week is packed with client appointments, trip planning, deadlines, and all the little things that need attention before I head out bright and VERY early Saturday morning for our annual Cruise Planners Convention.

I absolutely love what I do, and I’m looking forward to reconnecting with colleagues, learning what’s new in the industry, and bringing fresh ideas and opportunities back to my clients and agency. But even when you love your work, some stretches require a little extra coffee, organization, and stamina!

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that being passionate about your work doesn’t mean you don’t need a little downtime now and then. It’s all about finding that balance, even when the calendar doesn’t seem to cooperate.

The good news? I’ve already scheduled my sleep-in day for October 25th! 😉

Until then, it’s full steam ahead! Here’s to a productive Tuesday and making the most of a very full calendar!

Today’s office view! ☀️🍂

I’ve had three of the grandsons visiting since yesterday, so this morning we’re taking advantage of this beautiful fall weather and enjoying some time at the park!

I brought the laptop and had every intention of getting some work done while the boys burned off some energy. But I’m just not feeling it today. 🤷‍♀️

The temperature is perfect, the boys are having a great time, and I’m pretty sure they’ll be looking for some sustenance before long!

Besides, it’s a holiday, and the rest of this week and next are absolutely stacked. The work isn’t going anywhere.

One of the things I love about the flexibility of my business is being able to make these choices. Some days the laptop comes along and gets a workout. Other days, not so much!

I think I’ll just enjoy the fresh air, the beautiful weather, and some time with my grandsons. 😎

Sometimes the best use of a flexible schedule is knowing when NOT to work!

ONE balcony left. That's it.

Our 7-night Heavenly Adriatic group cruise is almost sold out — Aug 28 - Sep 4, 2027 on Celestyal Journey.

Athens → Kefalonia → Dubrovnik → Kotor → Corfu → Katakolon → Athens

This is the last Junior Balcony Suite in our block. Private balcony, more space, priority feel — without the mega-ship crowds.

This itinerary is pure old-world Europe: medieval walls in Dubrovnik, fjord-like Kotor, Greek island time.

When this suite is gone, inventory will be limited to what Celestyal may still have available.

A message from my honeymooners this morning absolutely made my week! They enjoyed a Ch*****ne Brunch catamaran sailing excursion in Aruba and said they had the BEST time! ❤️

I LOVE getting these messages from clients while they’re traveling, especially when they’re celebrating something as special as their honeymoon.

Honeymoons are some of my favorite trips to plan. A relaxing beach getaway, a cruise, exploring Europe, or a little adventure mixed with downtime—every couple has a different idea of their perfect trip. I love helping bring that together, right down to those special experiences along the way.

There’s so much planning that goes into a wedding. Having someone help with the honeymoon gives you one less thing to juggle—and something wonderful to look forward to together!

It’s Fair Week in Beauregard Parish! 🎡🍔

That means my schedule looks a little different this week because I’ll be spending several shifts in the DeRidder Lions Club booth helping build those famous Lions Burgers!

Office hours will be very limited this week. I have one in-person appointment available today at 2:00 PM. All other requests this week will need to be handled by scheduled phone call or email.

Fair Week is always a busy one, but it’s also a great opportunity to support our local community and the organizations that put so much time into it. I’ve been a proud member of the DeRidder Lions Club for several years, and working the booth is part of the fun.

So while you’re at the fair, come grab a Lions Burger, support the Lions Club, and be sure to say hi if you see me behind the counter! 🍔
