During a recent Senate subcommittee hearing, Federal Aviation Administration Administrator Bryan Bedford expressed strong opposition to using ADS-B tracking data for collecting pilot fees. Aviation advocates and lawmakers warn that utilizing a safety tool for revenue generation could dangerously incentivize pilots to turn off their devices. MAX has wrapped up our 2025 Expo.

MAX 25 By the Numbers
1. Total Aircraft Operations were at 530 for the three days
2. 106 Transient Aircraft arrived for the event
3. Aircraft sold stands at 9 as of today
4. Mo-Gas sales totaled 650 gallons
5. During the three days of MAX - 1715 folks ate at the delicious Bonnie Café Airport Restaurant (that’s a lot of people and a lot of food), thank you Bonnie Café!
6. The Expo continues to draw nationally (see map below), attendees came from 34 states, two Canadian Provinces and enjoyed a visitor from Kenya! Overall attendee count held firm to prior year.
7. Midwest Aviation Expo - 17 years in the history books, the longest running Sport Aviation Expo – EVER! And MAX 18th year is well into the planning stages! And we welcome all things MOSAIC!
