Have you tried this hidden gem in Denison, TX? It is All You Can Eat but not buffet style. You order what you would like and they bring it out you you as you are ready. Everything was delicious! We tried new things as well and ate it all. The owner was very friendly and attentive. The staff was great! Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had the Tempura sampler, soft shell crab, seafood soup, lemongrass shrimp
Soup, shrimp ramen, steak pad Thai noodles, sushi sashimi, Alaska roll, California roll, Angry dragon roll, Mochi Ice cream and tempura ice cream.

Have you tried Lupe’s Tamales? Did you know not only are they located in Sherman Texas but also in Denison! Located inside Casey’s, next to Sonic. Food is made fresh daily. Definitely must try this summer.

This is a #5 breakfast taco, no tortilla with verde and Chile de arbol salsa. 😋 yum

Have you tried Ni Ni’s Cafe? It’s a nice little place behind LaMesa in the little stop center. They have fresh made sushi and teas with or without Boba. I had the California roll and a peach mango green tea with strawberry boba. It’s was the perfe mat stop for lunch! If you haven’t visit this place, try it out. Very clean and great customer service.

This is definitely a hidden gem located on Texoma Parkway in Sherman, TX. This is absolutely the best Chinese food in the area that I have tried. They do not have a buffet but their lunch portions are more than enough. Today I had the Hunan beef. It is beef sirloin sautéed with bamboo shoots, baby corn, cart and Chinese leeks. Everything taste very fresh and made when ordered. For the lunch special it is served with hot & sour soup, fried rice and your choice of egg roll, crab rangoon or fried wonton.

Today I had the best Chili Cheese dog with a side of homemade seasoned fries and a large sweet tea to wash it down! Watsons never disappoints. They have a variety of things to choose from to make everyone happy. They grilled ham and cheese comes on toasted bread with lettuce and tomato….so delicious. They have steak sandwiches that I absolutely love with a side of gravy. I never have anything left in my basket. Try a shake or float for your sweet tooth. They hit the spot!

In our small little town of Denison we have a Dragon Thai & Vegetarian Cuisine down near Terrell Elementary. I love Pho and never realized they had it!! The last time I went for a light lunch and decided on vegetable soup with some Thai fresh salad rolls. I wasn’t sure about the peanut sauce because I just kept thinking it would taste like peanut butter but it’s actually a good light peanut flavor. I was even offered a complimentary salad with yum yum sauce. It was so refreshing

Have you ever tried Indian food? This was my first time and I can say that it wasn’t bad at all. I chose the Death By Tikka Masala Thali which consisted of:
chicken tikka masala, paneer tikka masala, daal lentils, turmeric rice, mini samosa, fryums, & kulcha naan. A nicely balanced feast served in bowls with your choice of rice and bread. Egg washed housemade flatbread, onions, cilantro chutney, side of housemade potato crisps and pico. It was definitely a different flavor but very good. The staff was very friendly and informative of the ingredients in the food. Even my kids loved it. That’s always a plus! This location was at The Grandscape in The Colony.

After a little more shopping we saw The Baked Bear Custom Ice Cream Sandwich shop! Oh the smell of goodness as soon as you walk in 😋 This was our first time to visit so they happily explained the steps. First you choose any two cookies, mix or match. Then the ice cream and any additional toppings if you would like. They place the sandwhich in this machine that warms the cookies while pressing your sandwich together but doesn’t melt the ice cream. This one had a cookies and cream on the bottom and a monster cookie on top. We stayed with regular vanilla on the ice cream and of course requested warmed cookies. Oh it was so good! It was hard not to devour the whole thing and in the end there was nothing left.

Over the weekend we traveled to The Colony and stopped by the Grandscape Shopping area. After our boutique shopping we worked up an appetite! There are a variety of places to eat. This time we chose Barley & Board. It was a nice atmosphere and we were able to get seated right away. They have Charcuterie boards. You can create your own or choose one made by the chef. Their choices change daily. We let the Chef pick and chose the “Picnic Board”. It was so delicious. Everything was on point! The meat, cheeses and the pairings were sweet, salty and savory. Of course it’s hard to narrow down decisions to just one thing so we added the Grilled Steak Ensalada. All ingredients of the salad were very fresh and crispy. The steak was cooked perfectly lightly seasoned, tender and juicy. Definitely a must try! I’ve posted a link to the menu below and a pic of the new Charcuterie board options.

I’ve created this page to share all of the places and foods that I really enjoy! As I’ve gotten older, I’ve learned to live life to the fullest and not be afraid to try new things. I usually will order items as they come to get the true authentic taste. If there is a place that is unsatisfactory, I will simply do as mama always said….”if you don’t have nothing nice to say, then don’t say anything at all.” However, to be fair I will list the location and the foods I tried. Just sharing my opinion! I’ve tried several new places lately. I’ll post each one individually for now and then going forward, try to update as I go. If there is a place that you are curious about, just ask and maybe I will pay them a visit.
