Happy Saturday NOTA Friends😊 Sharing this commemoration of D- Day from our community partners at Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency🇺🇸

82 years ago, 150,000 Allied soldiers landed on the shores of Normandy in what would be the largest amphibious invasion in history. Also called Operation Overlord, D-Day would mark the beginning of the end of World War II and the liberation of German-occupied Western Europe.

Join in on the fun family scavenger hunt in honor of our Oxford Township’s 150th and our country’s 250th Birthdays! 🥳🇺🇸

❤️🤍💙 Join Oxford Public Library and the Village of Oxford this summer for a community-wide scavenger hunt celebrating Oxford's 150th Anniversary and America's 250th Anniversary! Be sure to pick up your Heritage Passport in the Youth Department at Oxford Public Library starting tomorrow, when Summer Reading begins!

🕵️ Follow 13 clues (representing the original 13 colonies), explore Oxford's rich local history, and help solve the mystery of a vintage safe sealed at Acheson Jewelers in 2001. After 25 years, it's finally ready to be opened! Complete all of the clues and return your Heritage Passport to Oxford Public Library's Youth Department by August 7 to claim your Mystery Prize.

🏆 You'll also be entered for a chance to win the Grand Prize: one lucky Master Detective will help unlock the safe during the official opening ceremony at the Village of Oxford this September!
Get ready to explore, discover, and uncover a piece of Oxford history!

This scavenger hunt is part of the Village of Oxford's Oxford 150 / America 250 celebration and community efforts led by Councilwoman Nock.
