Ford Pro Tech product manager Amanda Fischer has been part of award-winning teams and contributed to cutting edge vehicles like the Ford Mustang Mach-e during her first ten years at Ford. As she takes stock of a decade of memories, though, her focus is on the people. “The work is a blur, with a few highlights. It’s really the people who have been the most formative of all.”

“There are so many coworkers who’ve turned into friends I can celebrate or commiserate with,” Amanda says. “I’ve been able to build a beautiful life made possible through the work/life balance and perks of being a Ford employee.”

Part of that life includes her husband, RJ. The two met through a cybersecurity student organization at Oakland University and both ended up working at Ford. While they strategically built IT careers in different areas of the company, they often carpool into Dearborn together or volunteer at recruiting events. Amanda says their shared experience makes for a unique support system at home. “We can use ‘Ford Speak’ when we discuss our day’s triumphs or challenges and we can easily jump in to support each other or empathize. It’s also wonderful to have the same holiday schedule!”

Outside of work, Amanda loves to explore local wine regions or grab dinner in downtown Dearborn. Whether she's sipping ice wine in an igloo in Niagara-on-the-Lake or getting into the Christmas spirit during her annual visit to Frankenmuth, she is grateful for the life she’s built and the people who have made the last decade so meaningful.

Congratulations on your 10-year Ford anniversary, Amanda!

Marjace Miles’ Ford story is proof of the variety you can find in one company. “I feel like I’m in my third – or maybe even fourth -- career within Ford,” the senior brand manager says. He’s gone from the fast-paced world of Ford Racing to the startup energy of the autonomous vehicle and electric teams. Now leading Ford’s franchised repair businesses Quick Lane and Around the Wheel, he says he’s still just scratching the surface of what’s possible here.

Marjace credits his experience at Consortium as a transformative experience that helped him succeed as he moved across different roles and organizations. The former Consortium fellow and 2019 Ross School of Business grad says, “I’m really excited to reconnect with the upcoming cohort of CGSM fellows and share with them what makes Ford Motor Company an exceptional place to work.”

For the students heading to the event, his advice is simple: skip the script. “We aren't looking for a scripted version of a candidate; we want your authentic self and your unique perspective. That starts with your very first interaction with us.”

Marjace says Ford is an incredible place to start a career right now. “At this moment, it’s about completely rethinking how we build and use vehicles…we’re reinventing the assembly line, developing a Universal Electric Vehicle platform, making manufacturing more efficient, and constantly improving the customer experience with tech like our hands-free BlueCruise system.”

“We’re building the future of movement. Who wouldn’t want to work on that?”

Are you attending Consortium this year? Make sure to stop by June 1 and meet Marjace to learn more. You can also explore our latest openings at http://spr.ly/6189B8B3tt.

You wear Carhartt to get the job done. You drive a Ford Super Duty while doing it. It’s only natural that a collaboration between these two icons would result in the ultimate work truck.

It’s much more than styling, though. “This project isn’t just about aesthetics,” Ford color and materials designer Bhavna Mistry says. “It’s about honoring the people who rely on their gear and their trucks to build the world, ensuring the interior is as tough and purposeful as the legacy that inspired it.”

Go behind the scenes of the Ford Super Duty Carhartt package to meet the designers who built it and the hardworking people who inspired it: http://spr.ly/6181BBLEId.

Most people have to look for a mentor when they’re starting out in their careers. Senior purchasing manager and fourth-generation Ford employee Kristy Minielly, MBA just had to look across the dinner table.

Kristy’s mom, Sandy, worked in Manufacturing Finance for 22 years at the Dearborn Truck Plant, where she also met Kristy’s father, Ken, who worked in Global Manufacturing Leadership. Though she’s retired now, Sandy’s career at Ford—as well as many Bring Your Child to Work Day experiences—helped inspire Kristy's own journey.

Happy Mother’s Day to a dynamic mother and daughter duo, and to hardworking moms everywhere.

“Best day ever!”

That was the consensus of nearly 6,000 Ford employees’ children at the Dearborn campus on Bring Your Child to Work Day. Thanks to the efforts of the Ford Employee Communications team and volunteers from across the company, kids had over 40 activities to try across 3 buildings and the outdoor space of the Dearborn campus, including a Built Wild outdoor off-road track, real clay models to sculpt, virtual car design and test track experiences, and more.

Follow Braydon, Rosie and Ellie as they show off where their parents work, and what they really think about Ford.

Want a career your kids will brag about? Check out our openings at http://spr.ly/6180BBwP9m to make next April the best day ever for them, too!

Low. Fast. Built with style. 🛻💨

The Ford F-150 Lobo is a tribute to street truck culture, designed for the owners who want to stand out. By researching how customers were already customizing their trucks, our team was able to blend factory performance with authentic street substance.

For lead exterior designer and longtime street truck enthusiast Josh Blundo, working on the Ford F-150 Lobo pickup was a dream. “To have the opportunity to play a role in this revival has been as big a thrill as driving one.”

Hear from the team behind the V-8 street truck.

Summer intern season starts next week, and we’re excited to welcome our incoming class! We asked 2025 intern and now full-time stamping press engineer Sebastian Rojas Garcia about his experience and what made him say yes to a career at Ford.

“As an intern last summer, I could see the camaraderie between coworkers,” he says. “It was clear to me that we all cared for each other beyond the scope of our roles, and that’s important to me. The stamping team made sure I had meaningful work and that I was learning, and that’s still true now.”

“Also, at the University of Michigan we were taught ‘People-First Engineering,’ which is about centering people while participating in the technical aspects of our work,” says Sebastian. “It’s great to be joining a company that uses that same framework.”

Sebastian also likes the idea of making a great product for customers like his dad. “My parents immigrated from Colombia and my dad worked hard to become a plant manager in the tire-retreading industry,” he says.

“When he got the plant manager position, he got a Ford F-150 company truck and that meant the world to him. Knowing our customers are hard-working people like my dad is what excites me and motivates me.”

One of the perks of being full time that he’s most excited about? The benefits. “I really appreciate the medical benefits. My partner is a therapist, and it’s great having her on my insurance.” He’s even looking into the optional pet insurance for their rescued pitbull, Maple.

Welcome back to the team, Sebastian – and welcome to the soon-to-be Class of 2026 interns!

“AI is not your path to perfection; it's your path to progress," Parita Patel told Arizona State University students during a recent campus visit.

Ford’s head of Finance Operational Excellence advised students to embrace change but keep a steady perspective. "Those who benefit most from the AI revolution are those who know how to get the most out of AI,"

In addition to advice on how students can prepare for an evolving future, Parita gave students an inside perspective on the transformative impact of AI at Ford and spent time answering their questions for the evening. Helping students envision how classroom theories can be applied to real-world business challenges was time well-spent in Tempe.
