Save! Save! Save!
This is the best time to save on your boat projects!
Over the years, Marine Custom Solutions has experienced a very consistent cycle in the marine service industry: everyone wants their boat worked on at the same time.
As spring approaches, our schedule fills extremely quickly. From May through September, demand is at its highest as customers rush to complete maintenance, repairs, electronics installations, rewires, and larger projects during the boating season.
Then winter arrives, and that demand drops dramatically.
Historically, this created a difficult cycle for our business. We would begin hiring additional technicians around March to keep up with the spring and summer workload, only to see work slow significantly by November. In some years, that meant having to reduce our workforce during the winter months.
We want to change that.
Beginning October 1, 2026, Marine Custom Solutions is introducing a new demand-based seasonal labor rate structure.
The goal is simple: encourage customers to plan ahead and help us spread our workload more evenly throughout the year.
Instead of everyone paying higher rates and competing for limited scheduling during the summer rush, customers who have flexibility can move routine maintenance into our Standard Season and schedule larger, labor-intensive projects during December and January, when we offer our lowest labor rates of the year.
For customers considering a major rewire, electronics refit, restoration, mechanical project, or other substantial work, the savings can be significant. A larger project scheduled during December or January can save thousands of dollars in labor compared with having the same work performed during Peak Season.
This approach benefits everyone.
Our customers receive substantial savings for planning ahead. Our summer schedule becomes more manageable. Most importantly, it allows us to provide our skilled technicians with a more consistent workload throughout the year rather than repeatedly expanding and reducing our workforce based on the season.
Keeping experienced employees year-round ultimately means better service, greater consistency, and a more knowledgeable team working on your boat.
December and January project availability will be limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you’ve been considering a major project for your boat, we encourage you to start planning early. Take advantage of the slower season, save substantially on labor, and have your boat completed before everyone else starts thinking about boating season.
Plan ahead. Avoid the summer rush. Save on labor.
