Just back from Rosewood Mayakoba and I’m already planning my return.
This beautiful resort is an enclave of mangroves, lagoons, and a private stretch of serene beach. It quietly adapts to who you’re traveling with — romantic for couples, effortless for families, gracious enough for multigenerational trips. Every suite comes with its own butler.
The food is a full culinary tour of Mexico — beachfront seafood, Yucatán-inspired cocktails, and an open-fire communal dinner under a centuries-old ceiba tree that felt more like a gathering than a reservation.
Sense spa is on its own island hidden in the jungle. I did the shaman-led Temazcal ceremony — a traditional Mayan sweat lodge ritual with chanting, herbal steam, and healing plants. Unlike any treatment I’ve done.
