Four years ago today — December 11, 2021 — a tornado tore through the Danville-Boyle County Airport, leaving devastation none of us will ever forget. What followed, though, proved something even stronger than the storm: the resilience, generosity, and determination of our community.
Thanks to the tireless efforts of so many, we not only rebuilt — we built back better. Today, the airport stands fully recovered, stronger and more capable than ever.
A heartfelt thank you to the Kentucky Department of Aviation, our incredible local community, the City of Danville, and Boyle County for their unwavering support during the cleanup and rebuilding process. Your hard work, partnership, and encouragement made all the difference.
