“All Roads Lead to Rome.” ✨ Yesterday, we had the honor to visit Volubilis, a vast archaeological site founded and inhabited by the Romans who settled in Morocco from 100 BC until 400AD. ✨ This site is impressive for its display of engineering feat in multiple dimensions, with significant portions of the town’s aqueduct, public bath, bakeries, olive oil presses, arches, sewer drains, etc, and many mosaics very well preserved. ✨ But is it worth coming to Morocco to see this site, if you have already been to or ? Though it is has been said, biblically, as well as by Shakespeare hundreds of years later, that there is “nothing new under the sun,” I would simply offer that each and every site allows the observer an entry point into unique perspective about human patterns and tendencies, and that in itself is an incredibly valuable opportunity to shift the evolutionary trajectory in a positively constructive way. ✨There is much to appreciate about this site, including the absolutely stunning landscape upon which it sits, and with the addition of an exceptional guide, our own little worlds become empowered to open up more, and more.
Featured in this photo is the Appian Way. The archway in the distance is one of 7 original entry ways to the city. Enjoy!
