Good evening everyone. I just wanted to see if I can get a little help here. We have 3 more days to reach my goal of 100 or 250 likes on my page before I can call out a winner of the $20 or $50 gift certificate of your choice. In order for me to reach my goal I ask you all to please find my page and share it with some or all if your friends and ask the to like my page so I can announce a winner. So far I have 72 likes and only need 28 to fulfill my original goal. I thank you all in advance for your support. Chris Busse. Owner operated at ATB Concrete Inc

Have you been putting off for years the placement of your new concrete patio, porch, driveway or adding on to your existing driveway? Are you tired of looking at your dull, boring, or cracked up concrete? Well now is the time to start planning for your spring project. We can design your patio, porch and even your driveway any way you like. How about adding a little color to help beautify your curb appeal. We also use a variety of stamp patterns for you to choose from to help with your curb appeal.
Interested? Check out a couple of my suppliers, Wille brothers and Butterfield colors. Here you can get a head start on the various types of colors and stamp patterns that may interest you. See what colors and designs suits you best.
I try not to interfere with my costumers when it comes to choosing colors and stamp patterns because its all about you and your taste. It will be beautiful no matter what you choose. When asked about colors and stamps, which is quite often, I do offer my professional opinion. Colors are always a big question, What colors do you recommend? Too often homeowners think they have to find a color to match their brick or siding. My opinion is to go with something a little lighter in color if you have dark colored siding or brick. Then go a little darker if you have light colored siding or brick. Most often, you cant go wrong choosing colors of the Brown family. The brown family are neutral colors.
Ok. So what are the typical steps to follow when choosing to do stamped and colored concrete?
1) Choose your base color. This is the color that will be placed in the redi-mix truck on the job. This color will also be lighter than your release agent.
2) Choose a color for your release agent. Your release agent is a powder that that is thrown over the entire concrete surface once it is placed, struck off, bull floated in, edged and before stamping begins. Your release agent should be noticeably darker than your base color as this is your highlight color. See my photos to see the two tone in the concrete. Light color is base and darker colors or the release agent or highlight colors.
3) Now choose a stamp pattern that you like. Most all colors will go well with the colors you choose.
4) Last, choose your sealer type. There are 3 types of sealers for stamped concrete. We have low gloss, medium gloss and high gloss. All are great sealers and it all depends on your taste as to which one you choose.
For those of you who would like stamped concrete around your pool but are worried that it may be too slippery. No need to worry. There is a product out called "Shark Grip" . These little salt sized pellets get mixed in with the sealer and provides a more slip resistant concrete.
