Welcoming back all of our camper owners for another great season on Douglas Lake! And a big welcome to the new campers joining us this year. We’re really looking forward to having everyone out here.

Here are some photos of a few of the setups and campsites our amazing campers have created. It’s always fun to see how everyone makes their space their own. More photos to come as our campers start returnng for the season. 😍

For those who haven’t been out yet, our campground is set in a private cove with spacious camper sites and plenty of room between neighbors. All of our spots sit up higher, so you get those wide lake views without feeling crowded or boxed in.

It’s a quieter, more relaxed kind of lake experience out here — away from the busier areas — but still close enough to enjoy everything Douglas Lake has to offer.

We’re glad to have everyone back and excited for a great season ahead. Share your Oasis Cove pictures with us, too!

Pretty cool moment this week when some TVA team members stopped by Oasis Cove Marina & Lodging to capture drone footage of Douglas Lake and the surrounding scenery!

Douglas Lake itself has a pretty incredible history. It was created by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) during World War II when Douglas Dam was built on the French Broad River. The goal was to generate hydroelectric power, bring electricity to rural communities, and help control flooding across the region.

What started as a wartime infrastructure project quickly became something greater, it helps modernize East Tennessee and eventually forming one of the most popular recreational lakes in the state!

More than 80 years later, it’s still doing exactly what TVA intended — powering communities while also creating a place people love to visit and enjoy.
