Warranty work on a stabilizer is either backed by the manufacturer, or it isn't, and that backing isn't something every yard can offer.

We're ARG's factory-authorized dealer, which means our techs train through ARG directly, size and set up their gyros to factory spec, and have manufacturer support behind any warranty claim.

We can also install other stabilizer brands, including Seakeeper, but ARG is the one we carry that manufacturer backing for.

A leaking shaft seal or worn packing can usually get repacked right at the slip. A vibration or noise complaint that points to the shaft or prop itself needs a haul instead, so it can be checked for straightness and the prop sent out for scanning.

Slip-visit techs check the same things on every visit: inspections, routine maintenance, diagnostics, and minor dockside repairs.

Either way, you'll get a clear answer before you leave the dock and walk away with a clear list of whatever still needs a haul out.

The proof we care about most: owners who ask for the techs on the next job.

We've been family-owned since 1967, with more than 100 years of combined marine experience on the team. You feel that more in how your boat is handled than in any number.

That kind of trust gets built one boat at a time, and we'd like to earn it with yours.

Our techs are ABYC-certified. We're a Certified Clean Marine Boatyard and a Certified California Clean Maritime Facility.

"What's the best bottom paint?" is the wrong question. "Best for what?" is the useful one.

Fouling pressure changes with water temperature, how often the boat runs, and where it sits. A self-polishing coating on a boat that runs weekly behaves nothing like the same coating on a boat that sits all season. We select for the vessel and its water first, then apply Interlux, Pettit, or Z-Spar to match.

A coating chosen for the wrong conditions can underperform even when it is applied perfectly.

An undersized bow thruster shows its limits the first time the wind picks up against a high-sided vessel at the dock.

An undersized stabilizer doesn't do much either once you're actually offshore.

Getting the sizing right starts with the vessel, not the product line. The displacement, beam, available space, controls, wind, and how you use the boat all shape the spec. We size, source, and install bow and stern thrusters and stabilizer systems, including ARG, and the most useful part of that work happens before the equipment is ordered.

Both upgrades are a significant investment, and you want them to perform exactly the way you expect.

A survey haul-out is one hour in the slings, and the fee does not have to be the end of it.

For a survey we lift the boat and hold it an hour so it can be inspected out of the water. Bring the follow-up work back to us within a year and that haul-out fee gets credited toward the next lift. (Credit applies to work performed by our team.)

Our Travelift takes up to 93.5 tons at a 25-foot beam, so for most of the harbor, whether it fits is the easy part.

We can handle the survey and the follow-up work in one visit.

Repowers get judged at sea trial, but the better test is the third season.

Our technicians know to properly size the cooling for the new engine, rate the mounts for its weight and vibration, leave real clearance for future servicing, and rebuild to OEM specs to keep the warranty intact with an authorized dealer.

If planning for clearance gets skipped, and there's no room for a technician to work, it could leave the yard no other choice but to cut new openings or pull windows just to get the engine out.

We'd rather put the extra hours into planning a repower at the start. Owners notice how well it runs three seasons later.

When a shipyard runs every trade that works on your boat, the job stays coordinated as it grows.

We keep mechanical, electrical, plumbing, shipwright work, paint and fiberglass, and haul-out in-house, with no subcontractors, so if a job grows beyond what it started as, the techs are already in the same yard, and any change reaches you through one point of contact, your project manager, with the reason behind it.

Our goal isn't more work on your boat, but the right order for the work that's already there.

One Component, Whole System

On a boat, the electrical part that fails is rarely the root of the problem by itself, because the charging, the power distribution, the electronics, and the generator all work together, so trouble in one of them can look like trouble somewhere else.

A generator running close to capacity can appear like a charging issue, and a corroded connection can pass as a failing part when all it really needs is cleaning and protecting.

That's why our ABYC-certified techs look at the whole system before recommending a repair, so you end up fixing what actually caused it, instead of the part that finally quit.
