We recently had the absolute joy working with a client who started a new season of life. Her husband had passed and it was time to downsize. We packed her, moved her, and got her all set in the new place. Then we had an Estate Sale and clear out the rest of the house so she could sell it. I love my work so much because I get to hear the stories of all the treasures of my clients lives and live in your past stories with them. I will always love the love notes and keep trying to make a difference in people’s lives with my work. ♥️

The holidays have a funny way of bringing more of everything into the house, right? 😅

More gifts, more papers, more activities, more stuff coming in.

So before that happens, I love doing a quick edit of the kids’ spaces.

Nothing extreme. Just clearing out the things they’ve outgrown, stopped using, or cannot really enjoy anymore.

It makes room for what is coming, but more importantly, it makes their rooms and play spaces easier to reset during a really busy season.

You do not need to tackle the whole house.

Start with one drawer, one shelf, or one toy bin and go from there. 🫶🏻

I talk a lot about creating peace and organization at home, but I love doing the same thing for businesses too.

Okay, can we talk about the stuff nobody sees?

Everyone notices a messy closet. But the overflowing inbox, the half-finished projects, and the appointment you’ve been meaning to book for three weeks. That weight is invisible, and honestly it’s the heaviest part.

So here are 5 things I wish more people knew:

1. The invisible work is still work. It doesn’t show up in a photo, but you feel it every single day.
2. “I’ll just do it myself” has a ceiling. The little tasks you keep absorbing are quietly eating your best hours.
3. You don’t have to be totally buried to deserve help. Handing things off doesn’t mean you failed, it means you’re protecting your time.
4. The little stuff is the heavy stuff. It’s rarely one big thing. It’s the fifty small ones you keep pushing to next week.
5. It actually feels good to let go. Most people brace for guilt and get relief instead.

It really is that simple.

Most moms do not need another cleaning routine or a prettier basket system.

They need things to be easy enough that everyone in the house can actually keep up with them.

A hook by the door for backpacks.
A basket where the shoes naturally end up. Toy storage the kids can reach.
A clear spot for the papers that need attention.

When putting things away takes less effort, you stop feeling like you are constantly picking up after everyone.

That is the kind of organizing I love. Simple systems that make real family life feel a whole lot easier.

Okay, the statistic is completely made up but the feeling is very real. 😆

When everyone in the house actually knows where the backpacks, shoes, papers, chargers, and random everyday things belong, you stop being the family’s full-time search engine.

And that is exactly why I love simple systems.

Not because they make your house perfect.
Because they make mornings, evenings, and all the in-between moments feel a whole lot easier.

The “worst” part? You start realizing how much unnecessary work you were doing before. 😅

You stop spending 20 minutes looking for something you know is somewhere in the house.

You stop being the only person who knows where everything belongs.

You stop needing a giant reset every time life gets busy.

And yes, your home will still get messy. Kids will still pull things out, laundry will still pile up, and real life will still happen.

The difference is that getting back to organized feels so much easier.

That is what I love about creating systems for families. Less daily friction and more time for everything else. 🫶🏻

The best organizing systems usually fail for one simple reason:
they were built for the version of your family that has time, energy, and everyone cooperating 😅

Real life is different.

Kids drop things where they use them. Mornings get rushed. Nobody wants a 7-step process for putting away a backpack.

So if a system keeps falling apart, I would look at this first:
• Can your kids actually reach it?
• Is it obvious where things go?
• Can it still work on your busiest day?

The goal is a system your family can actually live with. 🫶🏻
