🇸🇩 Sudan TPS reaches its October 19 end date — with no DHS decision yet.
Sudan's Temporary Protected Status was last extended through October 19, 2026, and as of this week DHS has not published a new determination. By law, if DHS stays silent, the designation is automatically extended for another six months. But the Employment Authorization Documents tied to the current notice are dated only through October 19 — so even if the status continues, your card may not show it on paper.
If you or a family member has Sudan TPS: keep your current EAD, your most recent I-797 notice, and the January 2025 Federal Register notice together, and watch for a new DHS announcement. This is general information, not legal advice — for your specific situation, please consult a licensed immigration attorney. Ethiopis Travel can help you track notices and organize your documents.
