Two decades ago, 2,606 souls lay down, expecting a regular day ahead. 246 anticipated skies as their backdrop, 343 firefighters braced for another day of service, 60 police officers awaited their dawn patrol, and 8 paramedics took a breather before their morning shift. Tragically, September 11, 2001, did not dawn as just another day. In an instant, everything shifted. As we navigate our present and gear up for the future, let's value every embrace, every connection, and every breath we're fortunate to take.

-Freedom Boat Club brings joy of boating to Children’s Beach House campers-

“The boat trips are always a highlight for the campers during their stays with us,” said Jonathan Freeman-Coppadge, CBH camp coordinator. “They come back from them with stories about how many dolphins they saw, the different varieties of birds they learned about and the lighthouse they got to see close up. Then they draw and paint pictures of all those things in art class. We’re so grateful to Freedom Boat Club and its members for making all that happen.”

We are thrilled to announce we have officially hit 400 locations around the world! Our 400th club is planned for Jupiter, Florida – one of the most popular boating destinations in the US.

“We are excited to celebrate our 400th location – a milestone achievement as we continue to execute on our strategic growth plan,” said Cecil Cohn, Freedom Boat Club president. “When Brunswick purchased Freedom Boat Club in 2019, we had 170 locations and to achieve such growth in less than four years, is a testament to our team and especially our incredible franchise partners who are united in a mission to expand boater participation and deliver remarkable experiences on the water.”

Freedom Boat Club Expands to Dewey Beach!

Freedom Boat Club has increased its presence in the Cape Region with a new location at Dewey Beach Yacht Club on Rodney Avenue, offering boaters convenient access to Rehoboth and Indian River bays.

“People love it because it’s so easy,” said Bev Rosella. “You show up at the dock, where the boat is clean and full of fuel, ready to go.”

When Working Remotely Means From the Deck of a Boat 🚤

Freedom Boat Club, which has a fleet of fishing boats, deck boats, pontoons, and other motorized vessels that members can reserve around the country, including 43 locations in New England, started offering weekday-only memberships at all its clubs earlier this year, based on the popularity of a previous pilot program.

Fifteen percent of new members in the first quarter of the year were weekday only, a rate that Freedom’s Brenna Preisser attributes to people’s increased ability to work remotely, the lower cost, and a growing number of retirees with flexible schedules.

People with more freedom to work remotely since the pandemic are getting creative about where they do their jobs. For a few anyway, the modern-day office just might be afloat.
