Congratulations to Battletown Fire Protection District on their new station!

The new facility looks fantastic, and we’re excited to see this investment in the department and the community it serves.

🚒 A BIG DAY FOR OUR DEPARTMENT! 🚒

We’ve waited a little over 200 days to get to this moment, and today we’re proud to finally close the doors with our apparatus INSIDE our new station!

While we still have a few final furnishings and finishing touches to complete, we are officially responding out of our new station!

A project like this doesn’t happen without a lot of people working together. We want to extend a sincere THANK YOU to our Board of Trustees for their leadership, support, and commitment throughout this entire process, and to our contractors that worked through every process to make sure this building was perfect for us!

To our community members, thank you for continuing to support our department and the men and women who volunteer their time to serve and protect this community. This station was built to better serve you, and we are incredibly grateful for the trust you place in us.

And finally, to all of our firefighters who have been involved along the way, thank you. From planning and meetings to moving equipment, putting in countless hours, and continuing to answer calls throughout the process, your dedication is what makes this department what it is.

This new station represents much more than a building. It represents service, commitment, teamwork, and an investment in the future of our community.

It’s always great to see a project go from an idea in the shop to being put to work in the field!

A few weeks ago, we shared a custom Rapid Deploy Communications Go-Box we built for one of our customers. Today, we received these photos showing the system deployed and being utilized exactly as it was designed.

The go-box provides the customer with a portable communications solution that can be quickly transported and deployed wherever additional radio capabilities are needed. Paired with the telescoping mast and external antenna system, the entire setup allows them to establish an effective communications point without relying on a permanent installation.

Projects like this are a good example of what we enjoy doing at Betner Communications LLC taking a customer’s operational needs and developing a practical solution around them. Sometimes an off-the-shelf product works, and sometimes the right answer is something built specifically for the job.

We appreciate our customer sharing these photos with us and, more importantly, putting the system to use!

One area of Betner Communications LLC that we continue to be extremely proud of is our MOTOTRBO Linked Capacity Plus system.

What started as a way to provide customers with dependable radio communications beyond the limitations of a single repeater has continued to grow into a multi-site network serving customers throughout Kentucky and into Southern Indiana.

Our system currently includes sites in Louisville (Currently offline due to tower removal), Shelbyville, Elizabethtown, Hardinsburg, Leitchfield, Munfordville, Glasgow, Scottsville, Franklin, KY, and Corydon, IN.

For many of our customers, owning, maintaining, and supporting their own repeater infrastructure simply doesn’t make sense. Our network gives them another option. They can utilize our existing infrastructure and have wide-area radio communications without taking on the expense and responsibility of building and maintaining an entire system themselves. We provide the radios and hardware!

We currently provide communications for a variety of operations including:

County Road Departments
School Districts
Garbage Services
Farmers
City Transits
And others

Just as important as the coverage itself is what happens behind the scenes. We maintain and monitor the infrastructure that makes the system work so our customers can concentrate on their operations instead of worrying about the radio network supporting them.

We aren’t finished growing either. As opportunities and customer needs develop, we continue looking at ways to expand and improve the footprint of the system.

If your organization needs reliable communications across a larger area or you’re tired of maintaining your own repeater infrastructure we would be glad to talk about whether our system could be a good fit.

Another Addition to Our Growing Portfolio:

Welcome Essential Trading Systems!

As Betner Communications continues to grow, we’re also continuing to expand the products and solutions we can offer our customers.

Not every communications need fits into a standard box. Sometimes a customer needs a unique solution, a way to bridge different technologies, or simply a more practical approach for a particular application. Having access to a wider range of manufacturers allows us to find the solution that makes the most sense for the customer instead of trying to make one product work for everything.

With that in mind, we’re excited to welcome Essential Trading Systems (ETC) to the Betner Communications portfolio!

Essential Trading Systems offers a variety of specialized communications products, including LMR dispatch consoles, Radio-over-IP (RoIP) solutions, SIP and multicast gateways, radio interfaces, desktop communications stations, PTT devices, and other dispatch and communications accessories.

Their lineup gives us another set of tools for applications ranging from public safety and government to utilities, transportation, industrial facilities, and other organizations that rely on dependable communications.

We’re especially excited about the possibilities ETC provides for customers needing smaller or secondary dispatch positions, remote radio access, EOC applications, IP connectivity to existing radio systems, or other specialized solutions where a traditional full-size dispatch console may not be necessary.

We have received full approval from Essential Trading Systems to advertise and promote their products through our social media feeds as a dealer, so you’ll be seeing more information from us about individual ETC products and some of the unique applications they can provide.

Our goal remains the same: continue expanding what we can offer so that when a customer comes to us with a unique communications need, we have more options available to build the right solution.

We’re excited to welcome Essential Trading Systems to the portfolio and look forward to putting their products to work for our customers!

As the application period for the 2026 Kentucky Homeland Security Grant Program submission deadline has closed, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation to every agency that reached out to Betner Communications, LLC for assistance with equipment recommendations, system design, budgetary pricing, and grant planning.

Late yesterday afternoon, we were contacted by someone from out of state who was having ongoing issues with a set of Pyramid SVR-350 vehicle repeaters paired with Tait TM9900 mobile radios.

According to the customer, the original communications company installed the equipment, but it has never performed properly. After nearly two months of trying to get the installer to return and resolve the problems, they finally decided they would have to tackle it themselves.

Within 15 minutes of receiving their email, we had responded with guidance. We then spent additional time on the phone discussing the issue and even offered to provide remote assistance to help fine-tune the audio levels and get the repeaters performing the way it should assuming the rest of the installation was completed correctly.

Situations like this are frustrating because they shouldn’t happen. When a two way business installs a system, the responsibility doesn’t end when you leave the job site. Standing behind your work, answering the phone, and supporting your customers is just as important as the installation itself.

Customer service isn’t an extra line item on an invoice at Betner Communications!

We’re excited to announce that our first Tait demo radios are officially in the hands of prospective customers!

Today, we shipped out our Tait TP9400 VHF P25 demo units, giving agencies the opportunity to evaluate the performance, audio quality, and reliability of Tait’s public safety solutions in their own operating environment.

We’re also expanding our demo fleet soon with the arrival of a Tait TP9900 multi-band portable and TM9900 multi-band mobile, allowing customers to experience Tait’s latest multiband technology firsthand.

At Betner Communications, we believe the best way to choose a radio is to use it in the field. If your agency is considering Tait solutions, we’d be glad to discuss a hands-on demonstration and help determine the best fit for your operational needs.

Yesterday we delivered and installed our first Tait radio package for a customer in Western Kentucky, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out.

The customer received a Tait TM9900 Multiband Mobile and a Tait TP9900 handheld, and we successfully integrated the mobile with their existing Pyramid Vehicle Repeater. Everything worked exactly as designed, making for a smooth transition without requiring them to replace equipment that was already serving them well.

At Betner Communications, LLC, we don’t just sell radios. We take the time to make sure every piece of the system works together the way it should. From system design and programming to installation, testing, and final delivery, our goal is to provide a level of service that simply can’t be beat.
