This afternoon we took a stroll through the backroads to reinstall an amplifier that we repaired in-house. Once arriving on site, we turned the repeater power back down to 25 watts, installed the amplifier, and it performed exactly as advertised producing 92-93 watts out of the duplexer.

It’s always rewarding to see equipment back online and operating the way it should after repairs and tuning.

We also got treated to one fantastic view coming down off the hill where the repeater site is located!

We spent a couple of hours today finishing up repairs and a complete alignment on the vehicle repeater system we wrote about a few weeks ago. After going through the system thoroughly, it is now performing exactly as it should and working top notch.

We greatly appreciate the trust placed in us to diagnose and correct the multiple radio system issues we uncovered throughout this process. Reliable communications matter, and we are thankful for the opportunity to help ensure this equipment is operating safely and effectively for the end users.

His passion for preparedness, community resilience, and real-world emergency communications has made a major impact throughout the region.

Also joining us is Daniel Susca, Vice President of Engineering at Spec5 Technologies. Last night on the Betner Communications Podcast, we had the privilege of hosting Beck Mitchell with Tango Tango for an outstanding discussion on the evolution of Radio over IP and broadband Push-To-Talk communications on Facebook Live and Youtube.

Beck did a fantastic job walking through the Tango Tango platform, discussing the many features it offers and how organizations across the country are utilizing the platform to improve communications, interoperability, alerting, and operational awareness.

This Memorial Day, all of us at Betner Communications LLC pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.

Their courage, dedication, and selfless commitment to protecting our freedoms will never be forgotten. Today, we reflect with gratitude on those heroes and extend our appreciation to the military families who continue to carry their legacy forward.

As we spend time with family and friends this holiday weekend, let us all remember the true meaning of Memorial Day and the cost of the freedoms we enjoy every day.

Today’s project is this WIFI Remote Antenna Switch and Power Meter from AF6SA. This device connects to wireless internet and allows antenna switching and power meter information remotely!

Getting it wired up now and looking forward to trying it out shortly.

I only have one multiband antenna at the moment but will be adding more in the future so this 6 port device will work perfectly.

Thanks to Hardinsburg PD for having Betner Comms install a Setina Premier K9 Cage with
alerting system! Our installer finished this project up this afternoon and turned out quite nice.

We even updated Over The Air Alias to indicate Jedi and the HPD unit number when there are radio transmissions made from the mobile radio.
