Biochar provides immediate relief for compacted, heavy, and salt-affected soils (often called “alkali”). In sandy soils it will hold water and nutrients where the plants can use them.

✅ microbe habitats
✅ nutrient exchange sites.

Biochar must be “charged” with nutrients and biology before adding to the soil. Think of it like an inoculant that will then spread all of the beneficial biology throughout your garden.

Our Biochar+Vermicast blend will give heavy, sandy, or salt affected soils an immediate boost. The vermicast (worm poo) fills the binding sites on the biochar with nutrients and biology, and biochar adds porosity and helps hold water and air in the soil.
