Official Featured Vehicle // 1977 Ford Bronco - Stroppe Ambulance

This was built by Bill Stroppe for Ford as part of Ford’s “Limited Edition Sail” promotion in 1977 where Ford attempted to set a new cross country hot air balloon flight record. It later became a Stroppe Racing Team pre-runner and emergency support vehicle.

Todd Zuercher, the author of “Ford Bronco: A History of Ford’s Legendary 4x4”, is an engineer by trade and a lifelong Bronco enthusiast. Todd joins us this year as part of the Bronco 60th Anniversary Celebration!

Official Featured Vehicle // 1971 Stroppe Sprite Travel Trailer Baja

This is the Bronco that racer Carl Jackson raced in the 1971 Baja 500 with the Sprite Travel Trailer to promote these trailers for the UK-based company. This amazing Bronco will be on display as part of our Bronco 60th Anniversary Stroppe and Race Display Tent this year!

Carl Jackson, who drove this Bronco and who I believe is the last remaining Stroppe Team driver from the early days of the Bronco program will also be in attendance as a special guest for this Milestone event.

Joel Silverstein, who also later raced Broncos for Stroppe and participated in the epic 1977 Limited Edition Sail / Great American Balloon Chase as the driver of the F100 Balloon Chaser will also be in attendance as a special guest.

Official Featured Vehicle // 1968 Stroppe Unser Race Bronco

This is the Bronco that Al and Bobby Unser drove in the 1969 Mint 400. This Bronco was also raced by Larry Minor and Jack Bayer, winning the 1968 Mexican 1000, 1968 Mint, and 1968 Stardust 7-11. Additionally Ray Harvick and Bill Stroppe drove it to near victory in the inaugural NORRA Mexican 1000 in 1967. This amazing Bronco will be on display as part of our Bronco 60th Anniversary Stroppe and Race Display Tent this year!
