Experience Smith Island LLC Offering day tours to Smith Island to experience the heritage, history, and way of life. The boat is docked at pier B6 and parking is available at the marina.

Experience Smith Island offers a 6 hour day trip to historic Smith Island MD for an immersive experience. Passengers will board the Circuit Rider at Somers Cove Marina in Crisfield MD. We will depart Crisfield at 10:30 am and arrive at Tylerton approximately 11:30. You will have 90 minutes to explore the quaint community. We will then depart Tylerton and travel leisurely through the town of Rhodes

Point and then on to the docks at Ewell where you will have 2 hours to explore the community. We will depart Ewell at 3:30 and return to Somers Cove Marina at approximately 4:30. For bookings or to find out more information visit our website or contact us on messenger or by email.

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming Hanna, who was photographing the Crisfield and Smith Island area as part of the Chesapeake Country Lower Shore Byway, a section of Maryland’s nationally designated Chesapeake Country All-American Road. This scenic route highlights the rich maritime heritage, waterfront communities, wildlife, and unique culture that make Maryland’s Lower Eastern Shore so special.

While traveling the waters around Smith Island, we were treated to an unexpected surprise—a pod of dolphins! They swam alongside the boat for a short time and even jumped from the water, giving us a memorable wildlife encounter.

Every trip to Smith Island is different. You never know what you might experience—dolphins, eagles, pelicans, breathtaking views, or the unique culture and traditions of Maryland’s only inhabited offshore island. Come join us and see what adventure awaits on your own Experience Smith Island tour!

From our guided Day Trips exploring the island communities, to relaxing Sunset Cruises on the Chesapeake Bay, to our immersive 3-Day Smith Island experience and weekend cottage packages — every trip is about sharing the history, culture, and beauty of the island I’ve called home my whole life.

What a way to kick off our sunset cruises! 🌅

We had an incredible surprise out on the Chesapeake Bay — a pod of dolphins showed up and swam around us for a while! 🐬 It was one of those unforgettable moments that reminds you that you truly never know what you’ll experience out on the water.

The sunsets are always beautiful, but every trip has its own story and this cruise gave us one we won’t forget anytime soon.

Today we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Memorial Day is more than the start of summer — it is a day of reflection, gratitude, and remembrance for those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

🎉Capt. Carole Ann 🎉

We’re excited to celebrate a huge accomplishment — Carole Ann has officially passed her Captain’s License course and graduated with her 100 Ton Captain’s License!

This was no small task. Carole Ann and the rest of the class put in a tremendous amount of hard work, long hours, and dedication to make this opportunity a success, and we couldn’t be more proud of her.

A special thank you to Capt. Ross of 3Bs Captains School and Paul of the Lower Shore Workforce Alliance / AJC for helping make this possible and supporting the class throughout the journey.

After the ceremony, we celebrated the best way we know how — with Smith Island cake and a few other refreshments. Then to finish the evening, I gave a special gift to Carole Ann to mark the occasion.

This is a major milestone, and we’re so excited for what’s ahead.
