A cruise isn’t just about the ports you visit.

The ship itself is part of the vacation.

For some travelers, the perfect cruise includes a packed schedule of activities. For others, it’s lounging by the pool, enjoying a great meal, getting a massage, reading a book or sitting somewhere with an ocean view.

That’s why I always want to know how you like to vacation before recommending a cruise.

Because the “best cruise” isn’t universal.

Our Day in Key West! 🌴

Key West is one of those ports where you can make your day as active—or as relaxed—as you want.

You can explore historic sites, wander Duval Street, enjoy the local food and drinks, shop, relax by the water or simply get off the ship and soak up the atmosphere.

That’s one reason I like itineraries that include destinations like Key West: there’s something for a lot of different travel styles.

And after a morning of exploring (and Key Lime Pie!), there’s nothing wrong with heading back to the ship for a little pool time and dinner! 😉

If food is important to you when you travel, put Virgin Voyages on your radar. 🍽️ 💯

Dining is one of the things that really sets Virgin apart.

There are multiple restaurants and dining experiences onboard (and no main dining room!), and the food is one of the things I consistently hear positive feedback about from travelers. And have thoroughly tested myself 😉

And that’s important because when I recommend a cruise to a client, I’m not just looking at the itinerary.

I’m looking at the whole vacation experience.

What will you eat?
How will you spend your evenings?
What is the atmosphere like?
Will you feel relaxed?
Will the cruise actually fit your travel style?

I’m back on Virgin Voyages! 🚢✨

This time I am sailing Resilient Lady on a 4-night Key West & Bimini itinerary with friends and fellow Be Our Guest Travel Company travel advisors.

One of the questions I get about Virgin Voyages is: “What makes it different from other cruise lines?”

A few things come to mind:
