Every job you send out is margin leaving your pockets.

A lot of smaller, independent shops have gotten into the habit of outsourcing variable data printing; label work, coding, small-batch versioned jobs, and other specialty print applications because they do not have the equipment in-house yet.

And on paper, that can make sense for a while.

You keep the job moving. You do not have to deal with the headache of potentially rearranging your floor. And the most compelling part, you avoid a major equipment purchase.

But what I am sure most of you notice is, over time, those outsourced jobs start to add up and it really makes you question if you're missing out.

Every barcode, QR code, address, serial number, batch code, short run, or versioned label you send somewhere else is work your shop could potentially be keeping under your own roof.

Which is revenue leaving your pockets and control leaving your hands when it all could be much simpler.

At DPi, we believe independent shop owners should have a real path to bring that work in-house without having to commit to completely rebuild or redesign their production floor and not cost them an arm and a leg either.

Our variable inkjet systems are built to retrofit into the equipment you already own and workflows you already rely on. We train your team to operate the system, we train your team to maintain it, and we support you when you need us with a price that is lower than most others on the market.

Our goal is simple. Give your shop more capability so you can keep more work in your building and keep more margin in your pocket. It just makes more cents!

If you have been outsourcing variable data, coding, labeling, or short-run versioned work because the jump to variable data printing felt too expensive or too complicated, it may be time to take another look.

Let’s talk about what more your current line could be doing for you.

If you need permission to maintain your own system, do you really own it?

In this industry, some companies lock customers into mandatory service contracts that can become a serious long-term expense. Others go even further and require one of their own operators to be involved just to run the system.

That may work for some businesses.
But a lot of American shop owners did not work this hard just to buy equipment they cannot fully operate, maintain, and control themselves.
When you invest in a system, it should feel like yours.

You should not have to give a cut to the bigger guy just to run the equipment you supposedly own.

DPi has never operated that way.
When you buy from DPi, we train your team to operate the system. We train your team to maintain the system. We give you the knowledge and support you need to take ownership of what you purchased.

And when you need help, our service team is one phone call away.
We believe print providers should have the freedom to run their own equipment, keep control of their own production, and keep the profits that come from the work they produce.

You own what you buy with DPi.
And you keep the upside too.

Adding variable data inkjet to your workflow is simpler than you might think.

Many of the bigger names in this industry require more changes to your floor than you're comfortable making. Change is scary, especially when it comes with the price tag most variable data printing systems carry. And beyond the cost of renovating your production line, there's another problem: with some of these systems, it doesn't even feel like you truly own the equipment, thanks to the strict and expensive service contracts you're required to sign.

We built our business to be the option for independent shop owners, the ones who want in on the margins variable data printing offers and want to keep every cent of them. Which is how it should be.

We train you to operate and maintain your own variable data inkjet system. We don't lock you into service contracts. And when you do need us, our service team is one phone call away.

Then there's the footprint. We've never met a press we couldn't retrofit our inkjet onto. That trusty workhorse that's been treating you right for the last 40 years? No need to replace it, our system fits on it like they were made for each other. All that, and we're still significantly more affordable than most options out there, with speed that'll knock your socks off.

If you've been debating adding variable to your line but can't justify the cost or the renovation, let's talk. We don't just retrofit to your press, we retrofit to your needs.

For decades, the traditional UPC has done one basic job: identify the product at checkout.

But with GS1 Sunrise 2027 approaching, the industry is preparing for a major shift toward 2D barcodes that can carry more information, connect to digital content, and support smarter product data across the supply chain.

That changes the conversation for labels and packaging.

A code on a package can now support traceability, product authentication, expiration data, recall information, customer engagement, sustainability details, and more.
That creates opportunity.

As brands prepare for more connected packaging, the ability to print high-quality variable data at production speed becomes more valuable. QR codes, DataMatrix codes, barcodes, serial numbers, lot codes, and other changing information need to be accurate, readable, and repeatable.

These jobs are one of our specialties here at DPi.
Our industrial inkjet systems are built to add high-speed variable data printing to existing production lines, helping print providers prepare for a future where packaging needs to do more than look good.

Packaging is becoming a bigger part of the digital supply chain. GS1 Sunrise 2027 is your signal to be a part of it.

The modern label is starting to act like a passport for the product.

It does more than identify what the product is.

It can help show where it came from, where it is going, what batch it belongs to, whether it is authentic, how it should be handled, and how it moves through the supply chain.

That is why RFID, QR codes, barcodes, serialization, and other forms of variable data are becoming a bigger part of the label and packaging conversation.

A passport gives a person a unique identity that can be checked, tracked, and verified.

A smart label can do something similar for a product.

It gives each item, package, or shipment a way to carry information through production, logistics, retail, and customer engagement. That information may support inventory management, authentication, traceability, compliance, or faster scanning throughout the supply chain.

But that only works if the production side can keep up.

The data has to be printed accurately. Codes have to scan. Serialized information has to stay organized. Print quality has to hold at real production speeds. Operators need a system that makes the work simple and not complicated.

That is where DPi helps.

Our industrial inkjet systems are built for high-speed variable data printing, allowing print providers to add barcodes, QR codes, addresses, serial numbers, and other changing information to existing production lines.

As labels become more connected, the printed data becomes even more important.

Because the label is not just a label.
It is your product’s passport.

We all know, smart packaging is going to be the new standard. But still, so many companies haven't made the move.

That is not because the industry lacks interest. Brands, converters, and packaging suppliers all understand the value of connected packaging, better product tracking, serialized codes, consumer engagement, authentication, and supply chain visibility.

The problem is ex*****on that's available and how expensive it can be.

Smart packaging only works when production can keep up with the concept. That means variable data has to print cleanly. Codes have to scan. Substrates have to run consistently. Print quality has to hold at real production speeds. Verification has to catch issues before they become expensive problems. Operators need systems they can trust, understand, and maintain.

That is where the planning gap shows up. A lot of the current available set ups for a workflow like this are either extremely costly, or the budget options are unreliable.

It is easy to talk about packaging becoming smarter. It is much harder to build a production workflow that can actually support it day after day.

DPi helps close that gap.
Our industrial inkjet systems are built to add high-speed variable data printing to existing production lines, giving print providers the ability to produce barcodes, QR codes, addresses, serialized data, and other changing information without replacing the equipment they already rely on.

Ready to take the plunge and add smart packaging capabilities to your operation? Let's talk. www.digitalprint.com | [email protected]

For years, RFID was most commonly talked about in niche categories like apparel and retail inventory. That conversation is changing, rapidly. More and more companies are looking at RFID, serialized codes, and connected packaging as part of a larger push toward better tracking, authentication, compliance, and supply chain visibility.

As labels and packaging start to carry more digital information that connects the physical product to a larger tracking system, production lines need to do more than print static graphics. They need to handle the variable data. The serialized codes, readable marks, and tighter integration between print, data, and verification.

Our industrial inkjet systems are built for high-speed variable data printing, inline integration, and real production environments. DPi helps thousands of print providers every day, around the world with adding digital capability without replacing the equipment they already own.

We can help you, too. Let's talk: digitalprint.com | [email protected]

A lot of production knowledge is walking out the door.

Across the print industry, experienced operators and technicians with decades of hands-on knowledge are retiring. Many learned printing from the ground up, spending years running presses, troubleshooting problems in real time, and understanding equipment in ways that only come from experience.

That knowledge is difficult to replace.

At the same time, many production environments are still running bulky, overly complicated systems that require expensive service contracts just to keep them operating consistently. Others rely on aging equipment where veteran operators have spent 20 or 40 years learning every workaround and adjustment needed to keep production moving.

That creates a serious problem for the next generation entering the industry.

This is where systems like the DPi SWIFT continue to show their value.

With features like automated capping and maintenance functions handled in just a few clicks, operators can spend less time fighting equipment and more time keeping production moving. New users can learn to run jobs quickly without months of complicated training or relying entirely on a strict service contract or one veteran operator in the facility.

We want to give the future of this industry tools that are easier to learn, easier to maintain, and easier to trust.

The print industry runs on a deep level of experience most people never see or think about unless you've worked in it.

Many of today’s plant managers, operations directors, and business owners started on the production floor themselves. They know what it feels like when production falls behind, when things refuse to cooperate during a critical run, or when one small issue turns into hours of lost time.

Good operators notice these problems before they become REAL problems.

They are constantly managing pressure that most people outside production environments never think about. Deadlines, uptime, setup changes, registration, troubleshooting, staffing, maintenance. It never really stops.

That is why reliability matters so much.

A system that simply works day after day is so refreshing. It removes stress from the production floor. Operators should not have to fight with their equipment every day just trying to get through a shift.

The best production environments are the ones where operators can focus on the actual job at hand instead of constantly putting out fires.

At DPi, that mindset has always mattered to us. We believe equipment should make these operators’ lives easier, not harder. Reliable integration, straightforward operation, and systems built for real production environments make a difference when schedules are tight and every hour matters.

Equipment matters, but the people behind it, running it matters more.

To all the operators, pressmen, setup crews, maintenance teams, and production staff keeping these facilities running every day: thank you for what you do.
Equipment matters, but the people behind it, running it, matter more.ing
