Not only did I get to meet Savannah from Hot Mess Homestead a few months ago, but I’ve now had the pleasure of meeting another chicken celebrity! 🐓 Meet Becky from Crooked Arrow Ranch! If you’re part of the chicken world, chances are you recognize her.
Becky has a heart for helping others, and she’s proven that time and time again by organizing raffles to support people in need. I first became familiar with her when she organized a HUGE raffle to help a little boy with a brain-related medical issue and his family, who needed some financial support. Becky brought people together, raised thousands of dollars, and made a real difference for that family. ❤️
As fate would have it, Becky later won my prize of free transport! I recently had the pleasure of hauling seven chickens all the way from Arkansas to Idaho for her, and she was amazed to learn just how far some of us travel to get these feathered friends where they need to go!
But let me tell you, Becky is so much more than a familiar face in the chicken world. She is a genuinely beautiful soul, and it shines through the moment you meet her. I instantly liked both her and her husband, Shane. They have that wonderful, well-grounded family connection that you can just feel when you’re around them. It’s easy to see how perfectly they fit together. ❤️
Becky’s personality was upbeat, cheerful, and downright sunshiny! ☀️ After three weeks on the road, she was exactly the breath of fresh air I needed. She brought me dinner and a Crooked Arrow Ranch cup (which I absolutely love!), but the best things she brought were a smile, a little extra love, and a reminder of how wonderful people can be.
Those last 24 hours of a long route are always the hardest. You’re tired, you’re ready for home, and you’re running on fumes. Becky made that final stretch feel so much lighter, and I truly can’t thank her enough for that.
Thank you, Becky, for being such a wonderful human being. Your kindness meant more to me than you probably realize. I’m grateful our paths crossed, and I sure hope this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship! 🥰🐓
