The weather is beautiful, nice temperatures, the lakes are great! Aaand the gnats are out…. I’ve found the fix! Cutters Natural… yep natural! I was on the beach next to my friend. I had on a slight spray of Cutters she had a face net on with plenty of gnats in attendance and they weren’t even flying around me. I’ve experienced mosquito products do nothing to stop these pests. Natural products with geraniol seem to work the best. Look for products that contain Geraniol. Hope to see you soon! These little buggers do have their own scourge, they don’t live long. I’ve noticed they like warm days and cool nights, once it’s warm days warm nights they’re done. Hope to see you soon!

Good news is there are currently not many biting flies but.... I’m sure there will be. SO HERE’S THE SCOOP! Oil, yes oil! For biting flies that look like house flies but they bite! And deer flies (have racing stripes on their wings) and horse flies (smaller than a horse, but big) They HATE OIL! Use baby oil or tanning oil that comes with sunscreen you can add a stronger sunscreen with it. TRUST me it works, they hate it. You can also use it on your dogs, pour it on your hands and apply it. DO NOT USE DEET! It’s like adding salad dressing makes you extra tasty. If it’s going to thunderstorm nothing will stop them because they go into a feeding frenzy. Share this tip with friends we want everyone to enjoy their VA-CA! We will have the sun shining the night of the fourth and we have got a playlist guaranteed to make everyone happy and get up and dance on the dance floor. It’s going to be great listen to the tunes you love at Crane Lake Bar and Grill!

The log cabin is two stories and sleeps up to seven, with a deck, a large front yard and dock out front. We are fortunate that the majority of our customers come back year after year.
