Antique Batwing Leather Chaps made by Hermann H Heiser of Denver Colorado.
VERY RARE WESTERN CHAPS from the Early 1900's.
The waist measures approx. 32 to 36 inches, depending on what hole you use! This size can be adjusted with the leather tie on the front, as shown in photos. Displayed on my husband, who is 5 ft 10 inches. 34 inches in length.
Hermann H Heiser, born June 29, 1836, in Altenburg, Saxon Germany. Immigrated to New York in 1854.
Established his first Saddlery and Harness Shop in Highland Wisconsin in 1857. He quickly gained a reputation for quality. However, due to health issues he was advised to move to a higher elevation. In 1863 moved to Denver Colorado, where his established the HERMAN H HEISER SADDLERY COMPANY.
His business flourished and he became known for his Tripple H Trademark, which was the 9th registered trademark in Colorado.
By 1917, the Hermann H Heiser Co became the largest manufacturer of Saddlery goods in the West, producing not only saddles but also gun leather, harnesses, and cowboy accessories.
Hermann H Heiser's legacy as a skilled craftsman and successful entrepreneur has left a lasting impact on the Leather Goods Industry.
Now you have a chance to own a part of Western History.
These were owned by Walter Blackburn Bogue, Owner of The Buffalo Pencil Co. In New York. Purchased them from an estate from his Granddaughter in Colorado.
