⚠️ SEVERE STORMS POSSIBLE TUESDAY ⚠️

The Storm Prediction Center has placed portions of Iowa and eastern Nebraska under a Slight Risk (Level 2 of 5) for severe thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon and evening.

🌬️ MAIN THREAT: Damaging wind gusts
🧊 SECONDARY: Isolated large hail and a brief tornado or two cannot be ruled out

Thunderstorms are expected to increase in coverage and intensity by the mid to late afternoon as a cold front moves into a warm and increasingly unstable atmosphere. Storms will likely organize into clusters or broken lines, making damaging winds the primary concern into the evening hours.

The overall tornado threat appears low, but increasing low-level wind shear across central Iowa later Tuesday could support a brief tornado with any favorable storm.

😢 It’s just a sad week as we say goodbye to another Coaster friend. In over 45 years of business, we bought a lot of tires and Carrier Transicold reefers from Glenn during his salesman career, but aside from business, he became a very good friend and although he retired years ago, he never failed to stop in when driving by just to say “hello”. I’ll miss his jokes and CWS fun times. Condolences to all who knew Glenn, he was one of a kind. 💔😢💔

Happy Wednesday! Ok, I am once again questioning the articles I am seeing on a transportation website that I have followed for years. I’m not sure I can believe anything I am reading about the state of the trucking industry anymore. Very sad. What is going on??
