One of my favorite parts of the day is the quiet that comes while moving through life’s daily duties… cleaning the B&B’s, tending the land, caring for animals, office work, cooking meals, laundry, dishes, and all the responsibilities that come with being a wife, mother, business owner, and farmer.
Somewhere in the middle of it all, my mind wanders through memories of the people who loved me, mentored me, inspired me, and helped shape the woman I am today.
I often wish those people truly knew how much they impacted my life and how much of my reaching for my dreams exists because of them.
So I’ve decided I want to start highlighting some of these heroes of mine. And what more perfect day than Mother’s Day to start with my beautiful mom, Erma Rodgers ❤️
Mom, this one’s for you.
I always joke about how you made parenting look so easy… when now that I’m a mother myself, I realize it is the hardest job I’ve ever had.
The older I get, the more I recognize the sacrifices you made for me and my sister. Endless hours driving us to practices, rodeos, and every dream we wanted to chase. Sitting on freezing cold or blazing hot bleachers for 10+ hours cheering me on no matter what.
You worked a job, were an exceptional full-time mom, kept an immaculate home, gave us structure and discipline, and still had dinner on the table every night for us to sit around together as a family. While always loving me unconditionally!
Now that I’m a parent, I truly don’t know how you did it all with such grace.
You helped make me who I am today.
It is one of the greatest blessings of my life to have a mother like you and the greatest honor to be your daughter. I will never be half the mother you are but you gave me a great foundation that couldn’t be any stronger. You are my hero!🥰
I love you endlessly, Mom.
Thank you for everything ❤️
Happy Mothers Day🌸🌻
