Folks, we continue to get requests for this Airport. Just a reminder to friends of this page, see our 12/7/19 post below:

The Airport was closed by the owners, Atlantic Realty & Turnpike Properties last year. It is no longer open to the public, only friends & associates of those 2 companies. We’ve been flying in there for 21 years and had successfully managed the airport for over 3 years, when they cancelled our lease.

Operations predictably declined from dozens of weekly flights to 1 or 2 monthly flights, a real tragedy. But, there is no apparent reconsideration of their actions.

The good news is we are still flying all those customers into First Flight Airport at Wright Brothers, providing ground transport as required. And, we are working diligently on a new operation directly into Corolla Village......stand by.

It is with great sadness & disappointment we announce the closure of the Pine Island Airport to the public as of 12/6/19. It is hereinafter available only to the owners & their associates. We began serving this popular airstrip in September 1999, 20 years ago.

Though it was closed to the public following Earl Slick’s death, we were able to successfully reopen/operate it for the last 3 years. It quickly became the highest demand airport of the 7 OBX airports we serve. This Page will remain open, so stay tuned for exciting new transportation modes we are finalizing to provide our hundreds of Northern Beaches customers ease of access.
