Please join us in congratulating Hamadi M from our Cincinnati Terminal on being named Moderns Home Safe Tonight Driver of the Month for May 2026!

Although Hamadi has only been with Modern for just 10 months, he has already made a tremendous impact on our team through his professionalism, teamwork, safety focus, and dedication to getting the job done right.

Hamadi was nominated by Logistics Supervisor Mark Z, who shared:
“Hamadi presents himself in a very professional manner to both customers and other drivers at all times. He has proven to adapt to any situation and is always willing to share delivery location procedures with newer drivers.
He is always willing to help fellow drivers with information when a driver is going to a delivery location for the first time.
He has worked hard to become knowledgeable and skilled in using all unloading equipment needed with the various types of offloads in the liquid chemical world. His attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to take on any load no matter where it is going or when it delivers makes him a valuable member of our team.”

Hamadi’s commitment to safety also continues to stand out. He consistently ranks among our top drivers in safety performance, attends all weekly safety meetings, and leads by example every day. In April, Hamadi earned a Safety Suites score of 27 and a Netradyne score of 1018. This month, he continues that strong performance with an average Safety Suites score of 22 and an impressive Netradyne score of 1012.

We’re excited to welcome Brian Nowak to Modern Transportation as our new Chief Commercial Officer!

Brian brings more than 35 years of leadership experience across bulk logistics, transportation, warehousing, rail transloading, and 3PL. In his role, he will help lead our commercial strategy with a focus on profitable growth, strong customer relationships, operational alignment, and expansion of our transloading and 3PL services.

Brian’s leadership style is rooted in safety, humility, teamwork, integrity, mentorship, and continuous improvement. He will be spending time across our terminals, customer locations, corporate office in Pittsburgh, and with prospective customers as he gets to know our people, operations, and opportunities for growth.

One of Modern's Logistics Supervisors, Salvador Aguilar is preparing for a mission trip to Sincelejo, Colombia with Fielder Church this June.

There is absolutely no obligation or expectation for anyone to give. We’re simply sharing this for those who may feel led to support Sal on this trip.

In 2013, Fielder Church partnered with Compassion International and a local church in Sincelejo, Colombia (Iglesia Más que Vencedores) to launch a Child Development Center (CDC). John has been a dedicated member of the Modern team for over 6 years, and throughout his time with us, he has consistently demonstrated what it means to be a true professional behind the wheel. His commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork makes a lasting impact not only within his terminal, but across the organization.

Nominated by his Terminal Manager, John is known for stepping up to support others - especially new drivers. He takes the time to walk them through customer expectations, routes, and best practices, helping them build confidence and succeed early in their roles. His willingness to share knowledge and lead by example reflects the kind of culture we strive to build at Modern.

Here’s what was shared about John:
“John consistently goes above and beyond to support new drivers, taking the time to help them learn customer locations and build confidence in their routes. He demonstrates a strong commitment to safety in everything he does, setting a high standard for those around him. His professionalism and reliability have not gone unnoticed - our customer has even recognized John as the best driver we have.”

John’s performance speaks for itself. He maintains an outstanding 996 Netradyne score and a Safety Suite score of 3, reinforcing his strong focus on safe driving habits and accountability on the road. His consistency and attention to detail help ensure that every load is delivered safely and efficiently.

A big congratulations and shout out to Eric E. from our Medina, OH terminal for his reaching one of his goals, thanks to his hard work and dedication to Modern! According to his manager, Pete, Eric has been working extra days to save up to purchase a camper for his family to enjoy together - and now he has it!
