Position: Bilingual Freight Dispatcher
Job Description:
As a Bilingual Freight Dispatcher, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling the transportation of freight for our company. You will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient movement of goods by communicating with drivers, clients, and other stakeholders. Your primary objective will be to optimize delivery schedules, monitor shipments, and provide exceptional customer service in both English and Spanish.
Responsibilities:
Dispatch drivers and coordinate daily transportation operations
Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery
Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and other personnel
Handle customer inquiries, provide shipment updates, and address any concerns promptly
Resolve transportation-related issues and make appropriate adjustments to schedules as needed
Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and transportation activities
Collaborate with drivers to optimize routes and maximize efficiency
Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies
Assist in managing driver schedules, including assigning trips and managing driver availability
Provide exceptional customer service to enhance client satisfaction
Requirements:
Fluent in both English and Spanish (written and verbal)
Proven work experience as a freight dispatcher or in a similar logistics role
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Proficient in using transportation management software and technology
Familiarity with transportation regulations and procedures
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings if required
Education and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or training in logistics or transportation management is a plus
Previous experience in the transportation or logistics industry is highly desirable
