Congratulations to Marcy Villa this month’s Ed Kahaly Culture Champion! Marcy has an incredible ability to bring people together and remind us that the relationships we build at work matter just as much as the work itself. This month, she created an opportunity for each person on the team to share something they genuinely admire or appreciate about a fellow team member. Simple idea with a powerful impact. Conversations that may never have happened took place, meaningful words were shared, and team members were reminded of the positive difference they make every day.
Creating connection is something Marcy does naturally. Whether she's checking in on someone, starting a conversation, asking a fun question, or finding a way to brighten someone's day, she consistently helps foster the sense of community that makes Pegasus Logistics special. She understands that culture isn't built through one big moment, but through the small, intentional actions that make people feel valued and supported. That same spirit carries the way she serves others. Whenever help is needed, Marcy is often one of the first to step forward, offering support without hesitation and always looking for ways to contribute to the success of the team.
Marcy exemplifies the people-first mindset, kindness, and servant leadership that this award represents. She makes our team stronger, our culture better, and our workplace more connected simply by being herself. Congratulations Marcy and thank you for the positive impact you make every day!
Ed Kahaly was the pinnacle of our culture at Pegasus Logistics Group; there wasn’t a request he would say no to or a costume he wouldn’t wear, and he was a mentor to anyone who asked. We lost Ed in 2008, and in his honor, we named this monthly Culture Spotlight Award after him. The people who win this award are held to the highest standard and have displayed the culture we so loved in Ed.
