Here's a taste of the Future-Ready Freight episode that we just posted on our website. Scott Auslund is joined by Project Apollo co-founder, Kenneth Apple to talk about generative AI's role in logistics and how it will continue to develop.
Our legal team asked us to cut out some slanderous comments, so it's not as entertaining as the first edit but it's just as insightful! 😉

A few weeks ago, our CEO Scott Auslund left a the following comment on LinkedIn:
"P.S. your paper net worth won't hug you when you get home from a business trip; your family will. Structure your life accordingly."
Given the on-going, fast-paced, and demanding nature of the logistics industry, his comment resonated with our team. As most of you can likely attest to, our responsibilities often bleed outside of our work hours. Some of our team took time to discuss if this challenge is unique to logistics, what jobs experience this challenge more, and how they maintain their off hours. This short is a summary of those conversations. To read the full blog and view the longer edit, visit https://www.marinerlogistics.com/resources/work-life-balance

Sharehousing comes from our focus on providing need-based services. While our warehousing and fulfillment services are designed for clients of all sizes, we found a gap in provisions for the small to mid-size shippers and distributors. Sharehousing fills that gap and gives clients the best opportunity to scale efficiently. Learn more: https://www.marinerlogistics.com/resources/intro-to-sharehousing
What is the future of freight technology adoption? We believe upcoming freight technology will enhance efficiency and connectivity for shippers and carriers.

The logistics industry cannot be about winning business just to "win" business.
When Sarah Feeney and Travis Vedral were discussing communication between shippers and carriers in their episode of Future-Ready Freight, it struck a cord with our team. Historically, the logistics industry has been driven by a mindset of winning business at any cost. However, just because a carrier can service a shipper doesn't mean they should. Sometimes network compatibility, experience, service standards, technology needs (the list goes on and on) just don't align. This is why it's crucial for carriers to be honest about their capabilities, and for shippers to clearly outline their needs and expectations from the beginning. By embracing clear communication, the players in our industry can move beyond the "win at all costs" mentality and stay focused on building stronger, more efficient, and sustainable supply chains.
