This month, we're excited to recognize Kelly for her positive attitude, dedication to our drivers, and commitment to keeping CORE48 safe and compliant.

One thing Kelly believes makes a bigger difference than people may realize is staying upbeat and positive, no matter what may be happening. That attitude carries into her work every day and helps create a supportive environment for the drivers and coworkers she works with.

A skill Kelly has developed along the way? Remembering drivers' names. It may seem like a small thing, but taking the time to know the people she works with helps build genuine relationships and makes others feel valued.

According to her manager, Kelly approaches DOT compliance as more than simply checking boxes. She takes it seriously as a core part of keeping our operation running safely and protecting both our drivers and our company. She also goes above and beyond to support drivers with complex DOT medical certifications, health requirements, and wellness guidance, taking a genuine interest in their well-being and helping them stay healthy and fit for duty.

Outside of work, Kelly enjoys hiking in the dunes and spending time with her grandkids.

If her manager had to describe her in one sentence, it would be: "Kelly is a valuable asset to the Safety Department, consistently going above and beyond to ensure our drivers are in full compliance and meeting all health regulations."

Today we’re celebrating ONE YEAR of CORE48 Transport!

Over the past year, we’ve continued to grow our ability to serve customers across their transportation needs, from milk and food-grade liquids to dry van and re**er freight. No matter what we’re hauling, our commitment stays the same: safe, reliable transportation and exceptional customer service. None of this would have been possible without the incredible people who keep this company moving every single day.

To our drivers, shop team, office staff, and everyone else behind the scenes, thank you for your hard work, dedication, and commitment to CORE48. We’re proud of what we’ve built together, and we’re even more excited about what’s ahead.

🌟 Driver Spotlight: Ike Malone Jr, OTR Driver 🌟

This month, we're proud to recognize Ike for his strong communication, positive attitude, and commitment to being a team player.

Ike starts each day by taking a moment to give thanks, reflect, and prepare himself for the day ahead. He says that taking time to breathe, relax, and focus helps set the tone for his day.

On the road, Ike relies on his Smith System training and makes communication with dispatch a priority. He believes in keeping communication respectful and professional, even when challenges arise. His ability to stay calm, communicate clearly, and keep a positive attitude makes a difference for both our team and our customers.

According to his manager, communication is one of Ike's greatest strengths. He does an excellent job keeping dispatch informed of changing ETAs and adjusting his schedule when needed to provide the best possible service to our customers. He's also always willing to step in and help, whether it's supporting dispatch or lending a hand to another driver. His actions truly help strengthen our "we're a team" culture.

Outside of work, Ike enjoys serving God, encouraging his family and friends, spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as reading and writing.

This month, we're excited to recognize Lisa for the positivity, teamwork, and dedication she brings to CORE48 every day.

While much of Lisa's work supports our Driver Pay team behind the scenes, she believes building strong professional relationships with coworkers makes a bigger difference than people may realize. Those connections help create a collaborative environment where people can work together to solve problems and support one another.

Throughout her time at CORE48, Lisa has strengthened her organizational and problem-solving skills while expanding her computer knowledge and gaining a deeper understanding of the trucking industry. She's always eager to learn and grow, making her an invaluable part of the team.

When she's away from the office, Lisa enjoys flower gardening, going for walks, and spending time with her family - especially her new grandson.

🌟 Driver Spotlight: Mike Sutherland, Loader Driver 🌟

This month, we're excited to recognize Mike for his professionalism, dedication to safety, and commitment to helping others succeed.

As a loader driver, Mike says one thing people may not realize is just how much goes into loading a trailer. Every load requires careful calculations, measuring, and determining run times, and it often takes milk from more than one farm to fill a trailer. At every stop, the milk must also be inspected and sampled to ensure it meets quality standards before it's loaded.

Over the years, Mike has developed a love for audiobooks and podcasts. What started as a recommendation from a friend has turned into more than 700 books read and over 6,200 hours of podcasts!

When he's not working, Mike enjoys spending time with his family, riding his motorcycle, and enjoying a good meal.

According to his supervisor, one of Mike's greatest strengths is his commitment to safe, reliable, and professional operation. He leads by example, remains calm under pressure, and takes pride in completing every job safely and efficiently. Mike also plays an important role in training new pumpers and sampler handlers, sharing his knowledge, reinforcing safe practices, and helping new team members build confidence. His dedication to customer service and willingness to help others make him an invaluable member of the CORE48 team.
