All good things must come to an end. Ok, we don’t really believe that crap but it sounded nice as a headline. However, it does hold true in this case.
To all of our loyal customers and friends.
We are sad to announce the closing of Shaker Road Provisions. After a lot of thought and consideration, Laura and I have decided that this is a necessary step for us. We have truly enjoyed the past three years seeing Shaker Road grow into what it has become today and doubtless would continue to grow into. Unfortunately, sometimes life throws curve balls and you must adapt.
We are open for breakfast today until 1:00 (or we run out of food, lol). We have been so happy with the support and feedback from our customers since day one! You guys have made this journey worth it. It is a bittersweet day for sure. We are both sad to see our company go but also looking forward to the next chapter in life and ready to start it!
On a personal note I’d like to end with this. Things aren’t always what they seem. Check in with your friends and family. Regularly! It takes seconds to send a “how ya doin?” text. It can make a difference. People often seem like their same ol’ selves on the outside but things aren’t the same underneath. Mental health, physical health, and every combination can be hidden. You never know who may be struggling and although most people will just answer “fine” to the previous question, it can make a difference just to be asked.
