CDL drivers may still use their paper Medical Examiners Certificate for up to 60 days after issuance.

With our experience and challenges in this transition, we highly recommend obtaining your new MEC one month in advance of the expiration date. This is to allow it time to process through the multiple agencies (MEC, National Registry, DMV).
