Big news for your hometown airport! ✈️🏆 Our Runway 6-24 Rehabilitation Project received the Commercial Service Airport Project of the Year Award from the Georgia Airports Association, an organization dedicated to the development, growth, and empowerment of airports across Georgia. We’re proud to bring this recognition home to Columbus! A special thank-you to Holt Consulting Company, LLC for helping keep this project on track, and to our community for your continued support of your hometown airport.

Today, on Patriot Day, Flightways joins our GA community and our nation in remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001. As we mark the 25th anniversary of 9/11, we honor the victims, their families, the first responders, service members, and everyday heroes whose courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten. May we always remember the strength, compassion, and unity that brought our nation together. We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

🍔🌭✈️ In celebration of 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘃𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟵𝘁𝗵, we kept the festivities going with a Hamburger & Hot Dog Cookout on Friday, August 21st!

A big shoutout to our FBO Manager, 𝗗𝗮𝗿𝗿𝘆𝗹, for serving as our grill master, CSR 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆𝗻𝗻 for preparing the delicious food, and all of our staff who helped make the cookout a success! 👏🔥

Thank you to everyone who joined us last Friday! We hope you enjoyed the cookout as much as we enjoyed celebrating with you. We’re already looking forward to the next one!

✈️🚁 𝗪𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗙𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗯𝘂𝘀!

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗔𝗶𝗿 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 to Columbus Airport (CSG) with 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗧𝗛-𝟭𝗛 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 — modified versions of the legendary UH-1 “Huey.”

The TH-1H may have the classic Huey look, but it features several modern upgrades, including:

🚁 Glass-cockpit electronic flight displays
💪 More powerful engines
🛠️ Upgraded transmissions
🔄 Larger rotor blades
👀 A distinctive tail rotor configuration located on the opposite side compared with earlier Huey models

These upgraded Hueys continue the legacy of one of the most recognizable helicopters in aviation history while providing modern capabilities for today’s Air Force training mission.
