Last night I had the chance to experience the World of Color Dessert Party and honestly… it was such a lovely experience.

When it comes to the “magical extras” at Disney, there are always questions about whether something is really worth the cost. For me, this one absolutely was.

Unlike the Walt Disney World dessert parties, this experience begins with a bottled water before a server brings out a box of treats. Inside was a surprisingly impressive charcuterie selection with meats, cheeses, and dried fruits along with several delicious sweet treats and even an event exclusive pin! Adults 21+ can enjoy a variety of included alcoholic beverages, while everyone has unlimited access to nonalcoholic drinks including soda, coffee, and the most delicious hot chocolate.

We had about an hour to relax, snack, and enjoy drinks before the show began.

The seating setup is a mix of standard tables with folding chairs and high top tables with director-style chairs. My son and I were seated at a high top with another mom and her teen daughter. We personally didn’t mind at all, but it’s definitely worth noting that you may be seated with another party and I know that could be a downside for some guests.

Overall, $95 per person is definitely steep, but between the reserved viewing area, the amount of food and drinks included, and the overall atmosphere, this is an experience I would very easily book again.
