The Reliable Transportation Initiative is a long-standing program that is at the core of the Cola Town Bike Collective’s mission, working to provide bicycles to folks in our community.

Working with community partners who help us find the greatest need, bikes are given to individuals who lack reliable transportation to get back and forth from their jobs, grocery store, health services, or other vital needs. These bikes are donated by others in our community, which we then service, and provide to a new owner at no cost. In 2025, CTBC provided 230 service hours, changed 140 flats, and gave away 121 adult bikes to those in need as part of our Reliable Transportation Initiative!

Have you seen the bike repair stands throughout the area? They are part of the Bicycle Repair Network! These stands include all the tools necessary to perform basic bike repairs and maintenance to keep you on the road. Leadership Columbia Class of 2026 is working with CTBC to create a reporting form so folks like you can let us know when a tool is broken or missing. Keeping the stands maintained keeps our community rolling. Your generous support helps make that possible.

Support our mission by donating at the link in bio on Tuesday, May 5th. Make an even bigger impact by donating between 10-10:59am that day to help us win the Aflac Power Hour for an additional $2000 prize.
